Base Class: Warlock
Kalim picked at his ear with a fingernail. There it was again. That... sound. The physician called it tinnitus, some kind of “ringing in the ears.”
There was ringing, to be sure. But it was more than that—definitely more. Rythmic ringing. Bells. A scraping noise, but not unpleasant. An ethereal tone threading throughout. Then, something unusually low. And a few sounds that didn’t quite fit any familiar pattern. It almost felt like a voice, but nothing like any voice Kalim had ever heard.
He picked at his ear again. The sound seemed louder, or maybe it just felt that way. It wasn’t real sound, after all—his hearing was fine, as far as he and the physicians could tell. But it was always there. The... ringing.
The... singing?
That’s when it happened. He was certain this time. These were words. The sounds meshed into something cohesive and beautiful, like a verse from a long-forgotten song. The words were complete: tone, cadence, and—most of all—direction.
Kalim stopped picking at his ear. Instead, he grabbed his pack and sword. He opened his front door, stepped through, and never looked back.
You have made a pact with an enigmatic patron—a being of sound and silence, whose presence hums just beyond perception. The whispers of the Silent Chorus have haunted you for as long as you can remember, guiding your steps with melodies no one else can hear. Now, you wield the power to bend sound itself—deafening your foes, conjuring eerie silence, and compelling minds with a single note.
Expanded Spell List

Level 1: Voice of Resonance
You can substitute a verbal component in place of a somatic component when casting a spell. Once per day, you can cast a spell that only has a verbal component without making any sound.
Additionally, you can project your voice up to 300 feet as though using the Thaumaturgy cantrip.
Level 6: Sonic Rebound
When you take damage from a creature within 20 feet of you, you can use your reaction to emit a piercing shriek. Each creature within 20 feet must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your Warlock spell save DC or be deafened and stunned until the end of your next turn.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
Level 10: Deafening Silence
By inhaling, you can absorb sound into your body, creating an area of absolute silence. As an action, you can hold your breath and cause all sounds within a 20-foot radius of you to cease. This area is affected as if under the Silence spell. You can maintain this effect for a number of rounds equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1).
While holding your breath, you cannot cast spells or make attack rolls. On your turn, you may choose to end the effect early and expel the absorbed sound in a burst. As an action, you release the sound in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in the cone must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 3d8 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save.
Once you use this feature, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.
Level 14: Verse of the Silent Song
You’ve finally understood a fragment of the Silent Chorus. As an action, you speak the fragment, uttering no sound. Creatures of your choice within 30 feet that can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your Warlock spell save DC or be charmed by you for 1 minute.
While charmed in this way, creatures are compelled to use their movement on each of their turns to move closer to you. If they end their turn within 5 feet of you, they are incapacitated until the charm ends or they move away.
A charmed creature may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again.
Placeholder for 2024 rules
Warlocks don't get a 3rd level thing, in 2014 rules. This appears to be required when building the subclass at this time, however, even though this is a direct fork from The Fiend (2014)
