Celestial Aspect Awakening
At 3rd level, you choose a Celestial Aspect to embody:
**Azure Dragon (Qinglong)** – graceful and regenerative
**Vermilion Bird (Zhuque)** – fiery and reborn
**White Tiger (Baihu)** – fierce and dominant
**Black Tortoise (Xuanwu)** – resilient and reactive
You gain the benefits of your chosen aspect’s features immediately, and at higher levels (6th, 11th, and 17th).
Azure Dragon (Quinlong)
**Serpent’s Motion.** Your movement speed increases by 10 feet. You can move across vertical surfaces and liquids during your turn without falling during the move. You also learn the *Druidcraft* cantrip and can cast it using Wisdom.
**Verdant Pulse.** As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to channel the Azure Dragon’s energy. Choose one:
- **Nature's Grasp**: One creature within 30 feet must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Wisdom modifier) or be restrained by spectral vines until the end of your next turn.
- **Healing Winds**: One creature within 30 feet regains hit points equal to 1d6 + your Wisdom modifier.
Black Tortoise (Xuanwu)
**Shellguard Stance.** If you do not move during your turn, you gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level and advantage on Constitution saving throws while they last.
**Reversal Palm.** When hit by a melee attack, you can spend 1 ki point as a reaction to reduce the damage by your Martial Arts die + Wisdom modifier. If this reduces the damage to 0, the attacker must make a Strength saving throw or fall prone.
Vermilion Bird (Zhuque)
**Blazing Talons.** Your unarmed strikes deal fire damage instead of bludgeoning. Once per turn, you may spend 1 ki point to deal an extra 1d6 fire damage on a hit.
**Flame Dash.** As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to dash in a straight 30-foot line. Each creature in your path must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + Wisdom modifier) or take 1d6 + Wisdom modifier fire damage.
White Tiger (Baihu)
**Iron Claws.** Your unarmed strikes may deal slashing damage. When you hit a creature, you can spend 1 ki point to force a Strength saving throw or knock the target prone or disarm it.
**Predator’s Grace.** You gain proficiency in Athletics and Intimidation. If already proficient, you may choose another monk skill. You may add your Wisdom modifier to Athletics checks.
Celestial Aspect Power
“The spirit stirs, awakening deeper truths within your chosen path. Your bond to the celestial beast strengthens, shaping your body and will with divine resonance.”
You begin to manifest tangible signs of your Celestial Aspect’s power—no longer merely a student, but an initiated guardian of their force.
Azure Dragon
**Dragon’s Flow.** When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can spend 1 ki point as a reaction to teleport up to 10 feet and make one unarmed strike against them.
Black Tortoise
**Stone & Stream.** At the end of each long rest, choose bludgeoning or cold damage. You gain resistance to that type until your next rest. You can also walk across water as if it were solid ground.
Vermilion Bird
**Wings of the Phoenix.** As a bonus action, spend 2 ki points to gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed for 1 minute. You emit bright light in a 10-foot radius and can hover.
White Tiger
**Steel Hide.** While not wearing armor or wielding weapons, your AC increases by 2. Once per turn, when you're hit with a weapon attack, reduce the damage by your Martial Arts die + Wisdom modifier.
Celestial Aspect Technique
"Through discipline and revelation, you channel your Aspect’s essence with artful precision. Your techniques become symbols of legend, feared and revered alike.”
At this level, you wield your Aspect’s power not as a tool—but as an extension of your spirit.
Azure Dragon
**Emerald Cyclone.** As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to create a 10-foot radius wind burst around you. Each creature of your choice in the area must make a Strength saving throw or be pushed 15 feet and knocked prone.
Black Tortoise
**Northern Bastion.** When a creature within 10 feet is targeted by an attack, you may use your reaction to switch places with them and become the new target. You gain resistance to that attack’s damage.
Vermilion Bird
**Cinder Strikes.** Once per turn when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, it becomes outlined in flickering flame. Attack rolls against it in dim light or darkness have advantage until the start of your next turn.
White Tiger
**Tiger’s Roar.** As an action, you may spend 2 ki points to unleash a fearsome roar. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet must make a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of your next turn.
Celestial Aspect Mastery
“You have become the living vessel of your Celestial Aspect. Its full glory courses through you, reshaping fate with every breath and blow.”
The boundary between mortal and myth dissolves—you are now a paragon of elemental balance and celestial might.
Azure Dragon
**Serpent Ascends.** You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed. Once per turn, when you hit with an unarmed strike, you may force the target to make a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by spectral vines until the end of your next turn.
Black Tortoise
**Eternal Flow.** As a bonus action, spend 3 ki points to enter a defensive trance for 1 minute:
- You can’t be moved against your will.
- You regain 5 hit points at the start of your turn.
- Once during the duration, you may cast *Counterspell* without using a spell slot. (Wisdom is your spellcasting ability.)
You must finish a long rest before using this feature again.
Vermilion Bird
**Rebirth in Flame.** When reduced to 0 hit points, you can spend 3 ki points to explode in a fiery burst. Each creature within 10 feet takes 4d10 fire damage (Dexterity save for half), and you regain hit points equal to half your maximum. Once per long rest.
White Tiger
**Alpha’s Judgment.** When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points or score a critical hit, you may immediately make one unarmed strike as a bonus action. Creatures frightened by you take additional damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.
