Base Class: Fighter
A Warrior Monk is as much a philosopher as he is a fighter. A Warrior Monk's strength comes from deep conviction to a cause, a philosophy or a faith. However, a Warrior Monk is no mere fighter, as they harness the mythical power of Ki in order to enhance their martial prowess.
Level 3: Schooled in Belief
Your Belief in your cause allows you to act as a priest, devotee or a teacher of your faith. At 3rd Level, when you take this archetype, you gain the ability to cast the Ceremony spell but only as a ritual. You also gain advantage on any Religion, History, Arcana or Nature check, when discussing philosophic or religious topics.
Level 3: Ki
Starting at 3rd level, your training allows you to harness the mystic energy of ki. Your access to this energy is represented by a number of ki points.
You have a number of ki points equal to 1 + half your fighter level (rounded down). You can spend these points to fuel various ki features. You start knowing three such features:
Sting of the Rose, Roar of the Lion, Coiled Snake. When you spend a ki point, it is unavailable until you finish a short or long rest, at the end of which you draw all of your expended ki back into yourself.
Some of your ki features require your target to make a saving throw to resist the feature’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:
Ki save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier
Sting of the Rose. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack the first time in your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make your blows more terrible. When you do so, the first target you hit with a melee weapon attack takes an additional 1d6 bleed damage. The bleeding creature takes this damage at the start of its turn, until it is healed by any source. The damage is not cumulative.
Roar of the Lion. You can use an action and spend 1 ki point to incite fear and confusion into the heart of your enemies. The chosen creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn. Additionally the creature can on its next turn use either an action or a bonus action, not both.
Coiled Snake. When you are hit by a weapon attack, you can use your reaction and spend 1 ki point to deflect it. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + your Wisdom modifier.
Level 7: Challenge Foe
At 7th level, you gain the ability initiate a honorable duel between you and your opponent. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack you can spend 1 Ki point to force the creature to be in a duel you for 1 minute. While in a duel, the creature has disadvantage on all attack rolls against targets other than you and cannot willingly move further than 15 feet away from you. When you attack a creature other than the challenged creature or move further than 15 feet away from the creature, the duel ends immediately.
You can use this ability once, before you finish a long rest.
Level 10: Unwavering Confidence
At 10th level, your trust into your own abilities and your superiority allows you to brush off terror and distractions. You have advantage on saving throws to being charmed or frightened.
In addition your hate of dishonorable ranged weapons protects you from harm. You gain resistance to piercing damage from ranged weapon attacks
Level 15: Masterful Strike
At 15th level, you are able to focus your strikes into a singular focused attack. You can forego all of your potential attacks to instead make one melee weapon attack against a creature in range. The attack is made with advantage and scores a critical hit on 19 or 20. When the attack hits it deals damage equal to your weapon damage dice x the number of potential attacks. If you deal more than 40 damage in a single attack this way, the creature must succeed a Constitution saving throw or lose a limb.
Level 18: Grand Master
At 18th level, your mastery of the ways of your temple made you a formidable and unrelenting warrior. At the start of your turn, when you are dueling a creature, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Modifier. You also become immune to the frightened and charmed condition.
