Base Class: Fighter
Mastering precision over brute force, the Sharpshooter is a fighter who turns the battlefield into a calculated chessboard of angles, range, and patience. Whether wielding bows, crossbows, or firearms (in settings that permit them), they excel at hitting weak points, ignoring cover, and striking from nearly impossible distances. Through honed vision, quick adjustments, and relentless calm, they can exploit any opening and pin down targets with uncanny accuracy. As their training progresses, Sharpshooters learn to deliver devastating shots, suppress enemies, and even ricochet projectiles to turn cover into a false hope.
Level 3: Take Aim
As a bonus action, you steady your aim allowing you to ignore any disadvantage, and rolling at advantage if you have it for your next attack. Additionally your ranged weapon attacks with a weapon that has the ammunition trait score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 for this attack. You can use this bonus action only if you haven't moved during this turn, and after you use the bonus action, your speed is 0 until the end of the current turn.
Level 3: Perceptive
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Perception if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses it.
Level 7: balanced breathing.
When you take the Attack action, you may choose to forgo any number of Attacks to increase the effectiveness of your later strikes.
Each time you forgo an Attack in this manner, the range that you would score a critical hit on increases by 1, until the end of your turn.
When you roll a Critical Hit while gaining this benefit, you can roll an additional set of the Attack’s damage dice for each Attack you forewent for this action, and add it to the extra damage of the Critical Hit.
Level 10: Distant Vision
Starting at 10th level, you excel at picking out hidden enemies and other threats. You can take the Search action as a bonus action. In conditions of clear visibility, you can make out details of creatures and objects as small as 2 feet across up to a mile away. Your short range for ranged weapon attacks is also quadrupled and the long range increment is doubled.
Level 15: Iron Will
Your mental fortitude is unmatched, granting you an unshakable resolve. You have advantage on all saving throws against effects that would cause fear, charm, or any other mental manipulation. Additionally, you gain proficiency in wisdom saves.
Level 18: Vital Shot
Once Per Short rest When you hit a target in minimum range you can choose to make it a critical hit.
