Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some people carry a magical birthright. Learning to control it can turn them into powerful sorcerers. But failing to harness this power can be dangerous; the unintended release of pent up energy could create unforeseen and potentially dangerous consequences. For arcane ragers, their rage is both a means to reign in the maelstrom of energy within them, as well as a way to release it. The Path of the Arcane Rager is a path where fury mingles with magic. As you enter the Arcane's rage, you are able to channel your innate magic, blurring the line between pure might and savage powers.

Abnormal Reach

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, the magic flowing in your body twists and elongates your limbs when you rage. When you make a melee attack on your turn, your reach is 5 feet greater than normal.

Arcane Rage

At 6th level, when you enter your rage, you can choose one of the following spells and apply its effects to yourself as a [action]Bonus Action[action]: Blur, Protection from Energy (choose one energy type), Warding Wind, or Spider Climb. These effects last for as long as you continue raging, regardless of the spell’s normal duration. The spells require no materials, components, concentration, casting or spell slot, but anything preventing you from starting your rage also prevents you from applying the spell effects.

Magic Eater

Beginning at 10th level, you gain a special reaction when you kill a creature or one is killed within 5 feet of you. You can use your reaction to attempt to siphon magic out of your victim and transform it as your own life force. If the creature was magical, had innate spellcasting or had spellcasting abilities, you regain hit points up to your constitution modifier (minimum 1) but no greater than the creature's level.

If you kill the creature as part of a reaction, you instead do this action as a bonus action.

You can't use this feature again before the start of your next turn nor can you use it on a creature that died before the beginning of your turn.

Greater Arcane Rage

Starting at 14th level, when you start raging, as a Bonus Action, you can choose to apply the effects of Haste to yourself. This is in addition to Arcane Rage, and otherwise works as that ability.

If you chose to apply the effect of Haste, you suffer the spell backlash as soon as you stop raging.
