Base Class: Ranger
An exceptional hunter who has studied the elemental planes as well as the creatures that inhabit them, observing their habits, movements, and magics. These hunters specialize in using elemental magic to hunt and destroy these creatures who wander too far from their home or too close to civilization.
Elemental Adept
At 3rd level, whenever you take the attack action with a weapon you are proficient with, you can choose to infuse your attack with an extra 1d6 damage of your choice from the following: cold, fire, lightning, thunder, acid, poison. The damage gained increases at higher levels, 5th (1d8), 8th (1d10), 12th (1d12).
Energy Arrow
At 7th level, when you apply elemental damage to a range weapon, the weapon does not require ammunition, but is formed of glowing energy that forms to fit the shape of the weapon.
Multiattack
At 11th level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.
Volley
You can use your action to make a ranged attack against any number of creatures within 10 feet of a point you can see within your weapon’s range. You must have ammunition for each target, as normal, and you make a separate attack roll for each target.
Whirlwind Attack
You can use your action to make a melee attack against any number of creatures within 5 feet of you, with a separate attack roll for each target.
Elemental Master
At 15th level, you imbue your weapons with not one but two additional elements of damage. In addition, whenever you make a weapon attack with an elemental weapon, you can expend one ranger spell slot to cause a five foot radius arcane explosion of the infused damage affecting everything in the vicinity aside from you.

Posted Feb 4, 2022Glad you like it! And thanks for the input! I had made this around the time I started playing D&D so looking back I can see that making it convoluted.

Posted Feb 3, 2022Now this feels like a damn Now this feels like a Ranger!
My only critique would be to take away the extra damage type from the 15th level ability, keeping it at one.
