Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Mines are shaped by the rugged and unforgiving life of a miner. They have spent countless hours in the depths of the earth, breaking through solid rock and unearthing precious minerals. These Barbarians harness their immense strength and unwavering determination to overcome any obstacle in their path. With muscles hardened by years of toil and a keen sense for the earth's secrets, they become formidable forces both above and below ground. The Path of the Mines Barbarians are not only powerful warriors but also masterful excavators, capable of shaping the battlefield to their advantage with each mighty strike.

Rock n Stone

Starting at 3rd level, whenever you make an Intelligence (Nature) check related to minerals or natural rock formation, you are considered proficient in the Nature skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.

Ground breaker

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this path, you learn to use your rage to shatter the ground in front of you. While you are raging, as a bonus action, you can strike the ground or a wall within 5 feet of you. Each creature within 5 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) or take 1d6 bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. If the ground in that area is loose earth or stone, it becomes difficult terrain until cleared. This damage is considered magical and increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6)

Additionally, you gain a burrowing speed equal to 5 feet.

As an action, you can focus your senses and detect the direction and approximate distance to the nearest deposit of precious metals or gemstones within 30 feet of you. Additionally, you gain tremor sense within the same range, allowing you to detect the presence and location of creatures, objects, and hidden structures that are in contact with the ground.

This heightened awareness lasts for 1 minute. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest.

Excavation Specialist

At 14th level, your mastery of mining techniques allows you to unleash the full potential of your Groundbreaker ability even when you’re not raging. You can now use your Groundbreaker feature as a bonus action on each of your turns, regardless of whether you are raging or not. When you use Groundbreaker outside of rage, its damage is reduced to 2d6 bludgeoning damage.

Additionally, your burrowing speed now equals half your walking speed and is doubled while you’re raging.
