Base Class: Monk
Born with a ancient spirit inside you, you learn to channel the power of this spirit to unleash divine judgment upon your enemies
Level 3: Channeling Spirits
At 3rd level you gain the ability to bond with a simple or martial melee weapon and channel the spirit of the spirit inside you to empower your weapon, binding it to you and allowing you to use it as if it was part of your body.
All attacks made with this weapon counts as unarmed attack for the purposes of monk abilities.
Level 3: Spirit Guide
Your strikes grow fiercer and your reactions faster as the spirit guides you and your blade. After making an attack you can expend 2 of your focus points to:
- add your unarmed strike dice times half of your proficiency bonus to one of your attack
- Or assist in your defense adding your proficiency bonus to your AC for 1 turn as a part of your attack action
Level 6: Steps on The Path
As you continue your journey and continue to commune with your spirit, you learn how to step swiftly as the spirits do. You gain an extra 10ft of movement and advantage on initiative rolls. Once per long rest, you may also spend 1 focus point to summon your spirit as a familiar (find familiar) until it is killed or dismissed.
At level 11, your jump distance increases by 15ft and at 17 your jump distance increases by 20ft
Level 11: Heaven Piercing Strike
You launch into the air, using kinetic energy as you ascend, then crash down with devastating force in a single, explosive blow.
When you take the Attack action on your turn and use your Flurry of Blows, you may forgo all of your separate attacks to instead you may jump up (minimum 10ft) and unleash a singular strike. This empowered strike has the following properties:
- You make one attack roll using your unarmed strike or a monk weapon.
- On a hit, the attack deals damage equal to: (Total falling distance ÷ 10) + 2 × your Martial Arts die, plus your Dexterity modifier.
You must declare you are using Heaven Piercing Strike before making any attacks on your turn
Level 17: Manifestation of the Divine Spirit
You have trained beyond the mortal coil. The spirit that once whispered now moves through you, flowing into every strike, every leap, every breath. You are no longer merely a martial artist, you are a vessel of perfection, divine in form and motion.
When you use your "Heaven Piercing Strike" ability, your jump distance now triples and you become immune to fall damage until the end of your turn. Your "Heaven Piercing Strike" now shake the earth beneath you as you land, making everyone in a 15ft radius make a dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + prof + dex mod) or they will be knocked prone.
