Monks who follow the Way of the Caffeinated have unlocked their ki not through meditation or martial discipline, but through gallons of jittery ambition and a deep dependence on energy drinks.

3rd Level Feature: Buzz Initiate

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your journey into caffeine-fueled enlightenment begins.

- You gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws.
- During a short or long rest, you can brew a number of special energy drinks equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). Brewing takes 10 minutes and uses easily scavenged or purchased ingredients.

**Energy Drink**
As a bonus action, you can consume one of your energy drinks, gaining the benefits of the *haste* spell for 1 minute. This version of *haste* does not require concentration.

At the end of the effect, you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 10 + number of energy drinks consumed since your last long rest) or suffer the following:
- Gain one level of exhaustion
- Become poisoned until the end of your next turn

You may consume multiple energy drinks in a day, but each one increases the DC of the saving throw.

Caffeine Withdrawal

Your body now demands caffeine to function properly.

If 24 hours pass without you consuming at least one energy drink, you must make a Constitution saving throw at disadvantage (DC = 12 + the number of energy drinks you consumed since your last long rest).

- On a failure, you suffer withdrawal: you have disadvantage on Intelligence, Wisdom (Perception), and Charisma checks until you consume another energy drink.
- Starting at 17th level, on a failed save you also gain one level of exhaustion until you drink again.

Ultra Buzzed

You have adapted to the effects of your drinks.

- Your energy drinks now last for 10 minutes.
- While under the effect of an energy drink, your movement speed increases by 20 feet, and you have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
- You may choose to delay any exhaustion caused by energy drinks until the effect ends. When it does, apply the total exhaustion normally.

Caffeine Ascendant

You have become one with the buzz.

- When you consume an energy drink, you gain temporary hit points equal to 5 × the number of drinks consumed since your last long rest. These temporary hit points replace any from prior drinks.
- You can delay all exhaustion caused by energy drinks until the end of your next short or long rest. When the rest ends, make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 10 + number of drinks delayed).
- On a success, you gain only one level of exhaustion.
- On a failure, you gain two levels of exhaustion instead.
