Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have forged a pact with Ithaqua, an ancient and alien god who roams the frozen voids between worlds. Known in forbidden texts as the Wind-Walker, Ithaqua bestows chilling power and supernatural endurance upon those who serve him. His gifts manifest as biting cold, eerie resilience, and a spectral presence that can both protect and isolate.

Expanded Spell List

Ithaqua, the Wind-Walker lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Frozen Warden

Ithaqua shields his servants with unnatural cold that repels the living.

  • Coldward Carapace. When you cast armor of Agathys, the temporary hit points granted are increased by your warlock level, and creatures that deal melee damage to you take additional cold damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
  • Icy Intercession. When a creature within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by an amount equal to your warlock level. The target is then shrouded in chilling winds until the start of your next turn, gaining half cover against ranged attacks. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Frostbound Flesh

Your connection to Ithaqua mutates your form into something barely mortal.

  • You gain resistance to cold damage and to bludgeoning damage.
  • Whenever you take cold damage, you may instead heal for half the damage taken (once per turn).
  • You ignore movement penalties from difficult terrain caused by snow, ice, or wind.
  • You no longer age, need to breathe, eat or sleep. You are no longer subject to the negative effects of cold temperatures.

Level 10: Howl of the Endless Wastes

You unleash Ithaqua’s dread wail, invoking terror and ruin. As an action, you emit a 20-foot-radius aura of howling winds and biting cold centered on yourself for 1 minute. While the aura is active:

  • Enemies in the area have a disadvantage on attack rolls against your allies.
  • You and Allied creatures in the aura gain resistance to cold and necrotic damage.
  • Enemies must make a strength saving throw against you warlock spell save if they are in your emanation when it first appears or if they try to enter it. On a fail they are pushed 10ft backwards. The ground in the area is difficult terrain for your enemies.
  • You can move through enemies as if they were difficult terrain.

You can use this feature once per long rest, unless you expend a Pact Magic spell slot (no action required) to restore your use of it.

Avatar of the Wind-Walker

You become a living conduit for Ithaqua’s presence.

  • You gain immunity to cold damage and resistance to fire damage.
  • You can hover 5 feet above the ground and ignore effects that reduce your movement.
  • Whenever you or a creature inside the emanation of your Howl of the Endless Wastes feature take damage from a creature within 30 feet of you, you can force it to make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature is paralyzed until the end of its next turn, encased in eldritch frost. On a success, a creature is immune to this effect for 24hrs.
  • Once per long rest, you can cast wall of ice (no concentration required). When cast this way, you and your allies are immune to the damage of this spell. Spectral winds swirl around the wall of ice, granting allies within 10 feet resistance to all damage.
