Base Class: Rogue
2024 version of the Swashbuckler with various updates and overhauls.
Level 3: Fancy Footwork
During your turn, if you make a melee attack against a creature, that creature can't make opportunity attacks against you for the rest of your turn. After you turn is complete your AC is increased by 1 for every 30 feet of movement speed you expended on that turn until the start of your next turn.
Level 3: Proactive Combatant
You gain a bonus to your initiative equal to your Charisma modifier. When a creature you can see makes a melee weapon attack against one of your allies, you can use your reaction to move up to your movement speed toward that creature without provoking opportunity attacks. If you end this movement within your weapon's reach of that creature, you can immediately make an opportunity attack against it. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per short rest.
Level 9: Panache
As an action, you can make a Charisma (Persuasion) check contested by a creature's Wisdom (Insight) check. The creature must be able to hear you, and the two of you must share a language. If you succeed on the check and the creature is hostile to you, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against targets other than you and can't make opportunity attacks against targets other than you. This effect lasts for 1 minute, until one of your companions attacks the target or affects it with a spell, or until you and the target are more than 60 feet apart. If you succeed on the check and the creature isn't hostile to you, it is charmed by you for 1 minute. While charmed, it regards you as a friendly acquaintance. This effect ends immediately if you or your companions do anything harmful to it.
Level 13: Showman's Stride
Your movement speed increases by 10 feet. Additionally, as a bonus action, you can choose one type of Dexterity-based ability check. Until the end of your turn, your next check of that type is made with advantage. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest.
Level 17: Master Duelist
If you miss with an attack roll, you can roll it again with advantage. Once you do so, you can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

The whole point of the original Swashbuckler was the ability to sneak attack an enemy without advantage if you're in a single combat against it, making it relevant to use the Rogue as a front-liner. Removing this feature therefore defeats the whole purpose of the subclass.
