Path of the Reaper

Barbarians that take to the Reaper’s path are servants of Destined Death. Chosen by Death Gods or other similar Dark Powers, Reaper Barbarians chase down those who cheat death with ruthless efficiency. Joined by a Avatar of Death, Reapers can become one with their Avatars for short durations, becoming enshrouded in black robes and wielding their cruel scythes, they slice through enemies with savage purpose.

Instruments of Death

When you first take the Path of the Reaper at 3rd level you become proficient with scythes. Scythes are exotic two handed weapons that deal 1d10 slashing damage. If you are unarmed when you go into an enshrouded rage, your Avatar materializes a scythe for you. If you are wielding a magic weapon when you go into an enshrouded rage, you can choose to turn that weapon into a scythe with the same properties for the duration of your rage.

Reaper’s Shroud

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can become one with your Avatar of Death. When you rage you become enshrouded in black robes, and gain resistance to necrotic and radiant damage. In addition, once per turn, the first creature you hit with a melee weapon attack, you can deal extra necrotic damage equal to your proficiency modifier and you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.

Grim Reaper's Sprint

Beginning at 6th level, when you kill a creature while raging, your Avatar invigorates you. When you reduce a creature that isn't undead or a construct to 0 hit points, you move up to half your movement speed towards another enemy that you can see without provoking opportunity attacks.

Soul Steal

Beginning at 10th level, while you are raging, whenever you reduce a creature that isn't undead or a construct to 0 hit points using a melee weapon attack, your avatar drinks deep of your victim's soul, temporarily reinvigorating you and giving a number of temporary hit points equal to 2x your barbarian level. The temporary hit points fade when you stop or lose your rage. You can use this feature once per use of rage.

Destined Death

Starting at 14th level, you and your Avatar of Death have become truly one. When you go into an enshrouded rage deathly wings sprout from your back giving you a fly speed equal to your walking speed.
