Base Class: Warlock
You have formed a pact with a powerful creature that favours subtlety and intrigue over raw destructive power. Some fiends make pacts like this in place of normal fiendish pacts; for example Graz'zt, Fierna, noble Succubus / Incubus / Concubus, certain Ultraloths and Arcanaloths. Or some Archfey grant a sliver of their beguiling power. You choose how you use your powers: using your silver-tongue and magic to smooth conflict and create harmony; or to dissemble and confuse others for your personal gain. Either way, you are a pawn in your patron's complex games.
Level 3: Infuence
You gain an element of your patrons's power. This manifests in Influence uses equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). You regain 1 expended Influence use at the end of a Short Rest, and all expended uses at the end of a Long Rest.
You can use these Influence uses in two ways:
Alluring Form: As a Bonus Action, you can expend one Influence use to gain an alluring form. This lasts for 1 minute or until you become incapacitated. You gain the following benefits while transformed:
- Once during each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an attack, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw, and if the saving throw fails, the target is Charmed by you until the end of your next turn.
- You can use a Reaction to make a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you have disadvantage on its next attack roll or ability check.
Beguile: You can expend one Influence use to cast Charm Person without expending a spell slot. This spell does not require Verbal or Somatic components and the spell's duration is 8 hours. Only one creature can be Beguiled at a time. If you attempt to Beguile another creature, the effect ends on a previously Beguiled creature.
You gain proficiency in Deception or Persuasion skills. If you have both these skills already, you gain proficiency in another skill on the Warlock's class list.
Level 3: Intrigue Spells
The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Intrigue Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Warlock Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Alter Self, Command, Detect Thoughts, Sleep |
| 5 | Nondetection, Slow |
| 7 | Confusion, Greater Invisibility |
| 9 | Dominate Person, Modify Memory |
Level 6: Twisted Mind
You power increases when you use your Influence:
Alluring Form: The creature that you force to make a Wisdom saving throw takes d8 psychic damage. This occurs even if the creature is immune to the Charmed condition.
Beguile: You can expend one Influence use to cast Suggestion on a creature Beguiled by you, without expending a spell slot. The creature automatically fails its saving throw against this spell.
Level 10: Empowered Influence
Your power now allows you to effect more creatures and in new ways.
Alluring Form: You can choose to expend 2 Influence uses when you enter Alluring Form. If you do so, a creature that fails its Wisdom saving throw versus this effect is confused (as per the spell) until the end of your next turn, instead of Charmed.
Beguile: You can choose to expend 2 Influence uses to cast Charm Monster without expending a spell slot. This spell does not require Verbal or Somatic components and the spell's duration is 8 hours. Only one creature can be Beguiled at a time. If you attempt to Beguile another creature, the effect ends on a previously Beguiled creature.
You gain expertise in either Deception or Persuasion.
Level 14: Ultimate Control
You have mastered the power provided by your Patron to gain ultimate control over others' minds:
Alluring Form: while in Alluring Form, you can take a reaction and expend one Influence use to make a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you have disadvantage on its next saving throw.
Beguile: You can communicate telepathically with a creature Beguiled by you while it is on the same plane of existance. When you expend a Influence use to cast Suggestion, this spell is cast without Verbal and Material components, and the suggestion can be made telepathically, in which case the spell's range is unlimited on the same plane of existance. When the Beguile ends, the creature is unaware it was charmed by you.
