Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Primal Warrior taps into ancient instincts and the raw power of prehistoric beasts. Drawing inspiration from dinosaurs, these fighters move with beastlike agility, strike with overwhelming force, and dominate the battlefield with primal ferocity.

Base Instincts

  • Predatory Precision: You gain advantage on attack rolls against creatures that haven’t acted yet in combat (i.e., before their first turn). Or when action surging
  • Hunter’s Awareness: You can’t be surprised while you’re conscious, and you gain proficiency in Perception if you don’t already have it.

Beastlike Movement

  • Agile Predator: You can reroll Dexterity checks (not saving throws) once per short or long rest.
  • Bounding Stride: Your movement speed increases by 20 feet.
  • Powerful Leaps: You can make a long jump with only 5 feet of movement instead of 10. Additionally, you can jump twice the normal distance.

Titanic Might

  • Brutal Force: When wielding a weapon with the Heavy property, you deal an additional 1d8 damage once per turn.
  • Armor Adaptation: You treat all armour as one category lighter for the purposes of movement and proficiency. For example:
    • Heavy armour counts as medium
    • Medium armour counts as light
    • You do not suffer disadvantage on Stealth checks from armour

Primal Rampage

  • Rampaging Charge: If you move at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and hit it with a melee weapon attack on the same turn, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be knocked prone.
  • If the target is prone, you may make one additional melee weapon attack against it as a bonus action.

Ancient Apex

  • Unstoppable Predator: You are immune to the frightened condition.
  • Savage Momentum: When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can move up to half your speed and make a melee weapon attack as part of the same action. You can do this once per turn. This ability can be used the same amount as your proficiency bonus per long rest.
