Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

The Eldarblood are an ancient and long-lost lineage. They are warriors of the Aedra dread domains who once walked the pathways between worlds as easily as others cross a room. Though their civilization has fallen into dust and myth, its last scions still guard the mortal realms against threats from beyond. Eldarblood warriors weave the art of the blade with planar mastery, striking like silver starlight across the battlefield.

Eldarblood Magic

3rd-level Eldarblood feature
You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Eldarblood Spells table. Each spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Eldarblood Spells

Detect Portal

3rd-level Eldarblood feature
You can sense the pull of planar gateways as easily as another might hear a distant bell.

As an action, you learn the distance and direction to the closest planar portal within 1 mile of you. This sense remains active until you reach the portal or willingly end it.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

See the “Planar Travel” section in chapter 6 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide for examples of planar portals.

Planar Warrior

3rd-level Eldarblood feature
When you strike, you channel the raw essence of the planar pathways through your weapon — its edges shimmering with starlight silver and a faint blue halo.

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can choose to turn all damage dealt by the attack into force damage. If this is the first time you’ve used this ability on a turn, the attack deals an extra 1d4 force damage.

This extra damage increases to 2d4 at 7th level, 3d4 at 11th level, and 4d4 at 15th level.

Distant Strike

3rd-level Eldarblood feature
Your Eldar heritage lets you slip between the cracks of the planes mid-combat.

When you make an attack, you can teleport up to 10 feet before or after the attack to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this teleport on each attack you make.

7th-level Eldarblood feature
You master the Eldar technique of stepping into the Ethereal between heartbeats. You learn the Blink spell, and you can cast it without expending a spell slot a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses when you finish a long rest.

When cast in this way, Blink requires only a bonus action. On the first round after you cast it, you automatically shift into the Ethereal Plane at the end of your turn; afterwards, it functions normally.

Flickering Offense

11th-level Eldarblood feature
You flow from foe to foe in a blur of starlit steel. When you take the Attack action and attack at least two different creatures, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action.

Spectral Defense

15th-level Eldarblood feature
When a strike would land true, you half-step into the Ethereal — the blow tearing through a ghostly afterimage instead of you.

When you take damage, you can use your reaction to gain resistance to all damage from that instance of damage until the end of the current turn.
