Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Prerequisite: Simian or Monkey Species

The Simian Warrior embodies a martial tradition unique to their people, one that perfectly blends their natural physical gifts with disciplined combat training. They treat the battlefield as a three-dimensional space, using their innate agility to climb, leap, and reposition in ways other warriors cannot comprehend. Their style is a fluid and acrobatic dance of motion, turning the environment itself into an ally and a weapon.

Simian Agility

Your fighting style relies on speed and instinct over heavy armor. While you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.

Simian Athletics

You have mastered the art of using your environment to your advantage. You gain the following benefits:

  • Expert Climber. You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. If you already have a climbing speed from your species, it increases by 10 feet.

  • Powerful Leaper. When you make a long jump or a high jump, you can use your Dexterity score instead of your Strength score to calculate the distance.

  • Sure-Footed. You have advantage on saving throws and ability checks to avoid being knocked prone.

  • Resourceful Combatant. You gain proficiency with improvised weapons. For you, any improvised weapon you wield deals damage equal to 1d8 and has the Finesse property. If the weapon is suitable for throwing, it has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.

Evasive Maneuvers

Your constant motion makes you incredibly difficult to pin down with area effects. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Death from Above

You can use height and momentum to empower your attacks. If you move at least 10 feet downwards in a straight line immediately before hitting a creature with a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an extra 1d10 damage of the weapon's type.

The extra damage increases to 2d10 at 18th level.

Relentless Momentum

You flow between opponents without stopping. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack on your turn, your speed increases by 10 feet until the end of the turn. If you then attack a different creature on the same turn, you have advantage on the first attack roll you make against that second creature.

Apex Agility

Your acrobatic skill has reached a supernatural peak, and the normal rules of movement barely apply to you. You gain the following benefits permanently:

  • You can move along vertical surfaces and across liquids on your turn without falling during the movement.

  • Your movement is unaffected by difficult terrain.

  • The distance you can cover with a long jump or high jump is no longer limited by your remaining movement speed for the turn.
