Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Executioners are shunned warriors with a dark yet necessary purpose. They devote their life to mastering the art of the execution, death in a single blow. They are often employed by nobility and other members of high class society to dispose of captured enemies and such. It gives them plenty of time to hone their grim craft...

Execution Dice

Execution Dice are a pool of d6s that scale with your level. These dice are used in various class abilities to deal extra damage with attacks.

Executioner's Stance

Starting when you choose this subclass at level 3, you learn a specific stance tailored to optimize the execution of another creature. Though to properly use this technique the creature must be either stunned, restrained, prone, paralyzed, or unconcious. This technique can be physically exhausting, so it is used sparingly.

When you hit an attack against a creature suffering from one of these effects, you may add Execution Dice to your damage. For example a 5th level Executioner has 5d6 that they can use to increase the damage of an attack against a stunned, restrained, prone, paralyzed, or unconcious creature.

Reviled

As an Executioner you are a shunned and avoided part of society. Starting at level 7, you have gained a reputation that brings fear onto those who you speak too. You gain proficiency in Intimidation and Persuasion.

Vicious Critical

Starting at 10th level you have learned to work your Executioner's Stance into your critical strikes. In addition to the damage you deal from a critical hit, you may also add a number of your Execution Dice to the damage as well. You may add these dice regardless if the target is suffering from one of the effects needed to use Executioner's Stance or not.

Rejuvenation

At 15th level you have learned how to quickly recover stamina to use in your Executioner's Stance. Once per long rest you may use a bonus action regain a number of your Execution Dice equal to your Constitution modifier. The amount of Execution Dice gained from this ability cannot exceed the maximum amount of Execution Dice granted by your level. For example a 15th level Execution cannot gain Execution Dice above 15d6 from the use of this ability.

Perfect Execution

At 18th level you have perfected your Executioner's Stance. You no longer need a creature to be held in place to perform your technique, the slightest distraction or irregularity in their stance is enough. Now, if a creature is Frightened, Charmed, Blinded, Deafened, or Exhausted, you may use your Executioner's Stance on them.
