Base Class: Paladin
Tenets of Cleansing
You have found a stain on this world that corrupts the masses and festers within the wicked. It is your duty to purify the lands of this rot and protect the people from its grasp. When you take this oath, choose a corruption or enemy to cleanse. Examples include vampires, celestials, followers of Bhaal, or your local nobility.
Cleanse the stain. You strive to rid the lands of a stain upon it. This stain could be a faith, race, monster, or location.
Contain the infection. Others must be protected from the rot of this world, with no cost too great to pay. You will break your oath if you knowingly and wrongfully accuse someone as being your sworn enemy - all innocents must be protected, regardless of personal quarries.
Disinfect the scars. It is your duty to disinfect the world by stripping their dens, villages, or teachings, until they are cleansed even from legends.
You must be aware and truly believe that someone is part of your chosen enemy before they can be targeted by this subclass' effects.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options:
Rebuke the Infestation. As an action, you invoke your righteous authority to rebuke and weaken the rotten. Choose a number of creatures up to half your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) that you can see within 30 feet. The chosen creatures must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be rebuked by your oath. Creatures not part of your chosen corruption have advantage on this saving throw. For the next minute, you deal an additional 1d4 radiant damage whenever you hit a rebuked target with a weapon attack and the creature has disadvantage on charisma saves for the duration of this effect. If all targets drop to 0 hit points before this effect ends, you can use your bonus action on a subsequent turn of yours to try and rebuke one new creature.
This feature's damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 9th level (2d4), 13th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).
Chain Profaned Artifact. As an action, you seek to subdue a tainted object or magical item. This may include an unholy symbol, cursed items, or tool of worship. Touch the object and make a binding check using your spellcasting ability (DC 14, or decided by your DM, p175 PHB). The effects of your binding last up to a number of hours equal to your Paladin level.
On a success, if the object has charges or limited uses (such as a Wand of Polymorph) one of its charges or uses is blocked for the duration of the binding. This effect can stack.
When you touch the object to use this feature, a protective veil of mist surrounds your hand. If the object is cursed, you resist one of its negative effects for the duration of the binding. These effects are charmed, petrified, exhaustion, or a reduction to one ability score.
This feature ends early if you drop to 0 hp or if you attune to the item.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Aura of Clarity
Starting at 7th level, you emanate an aura in a 10-foot radius that embodies your unwavering commitment to purify and protect the world. Within this aura, any land, object, or creature is shielded and cleansed from your sworn enemies while you are conscious.
Guard the Innocent. Those fighting beside you are guarded against words of corruption. Once per round, if a creature you can see within range of your aura is forced to make a Wisdom saving throw, you may use your reaction to add your Charisma modifier to their roll. You can decide to use this ability after you know the results of the roll, but before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails.
Silence Corrupted. The space within your aura is shielded from the corrupted words of your sworn enemy. Such creatures cannot charm or possess allies within it. When a corrupted creature enters the aura on their turn or starts its turn there, it must make a Charisma saving throw (equal to your spell save DC). On fail, the creature becomes mute, blocking all non-magical speech. On a success, the creature ignores the effect until it re-enters the area. This feature has no effect on creatures outside your sworn enemies.
Sense profaned Artifact. You can innately sense the presence of magical objects used by your sworn enemies. This sense does not reveal the object's location or function, and an Arcana check may still be required to confirm the source. Whenever you cast Channel Divinity: Chain Profaned Artifact on an object worn by a sworn enemy within this aura, you may imbue it with the following effect:
- Break the object's attunement to its owner. The object will automatically re-attune to its owner once the purification ends.
This effect ends early if the object leaves your aura's range. You can use this ability once per long rest.
The range of this aura increases to 20 feet at 18th level.
Resisted Empowerment
At 15th level, successful acts of defiance fuel your righteous frenzy. Whenever a creature you can see within 15 feet of you succeeds on an Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma saving throw, you can use your reaction to rebuke the creature that forced the initial saving throw. This creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or become frightened. If the creature becomes frightened, you may make one weapon attack against it as part of the same reaction, provided the creature is within your weapon's range.
Templar of Purity
At 20th level, your very soul burns with the desire to cast your enemies from your sight, purging the world of their rot with every strike. As a bonus action, channel your focus towards your chosen enemies and gain the following benefits for 1 minute.
Righteous Crusade. Any of your chosen foes within 10 feet have disadvantage on saving throws against your Channel Divinity's Rebuke the Infestation. Allies can now also benefit from the additional damage granted by this Channel Divinity feature.
Deliver the Unclean. You gain truesight with a range of 120 feet against your chosen corrupted creatures. All other creatures, including allies, become heavily obscured to you.
Purified by Purgatory. Whenever you land a critical hit on your chosen enemy, you may choose to empower it with Banishing Smite, without expending a spell slot. This smite does not benefit from extra critical damage. If a creature is banished in this manner, you may expend a 3rd-level spell slot to cast Enemies Abound on this creature as a reaction immediately upon its return.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
