Base Class: Sorcerer
Your lineage is was more made than bred within writing or paint making for a folk most unusual and rare.
Lineage of Marks
It is in you lineage to understand the meaning behind ink and paint that has been placed.
You are proficient in Painter's Supplies, Calligrapher's Supplies and Forgery Kit.
When you reach 2nd level, you can do the following with your Sorcery Points.
Body of Ink. You can spend a sorcery point to not require the tools to make checks requiring Painter's Supplies, Calligrapher's Supplies and a Forgery Kit for up to an hour.
Knowledge of the Marks Meaning. You can also spend a sorcery point to read all writing for up to 2 hours each point.
Nolzur's Secrets
Your lineage has an understanding of Nolzur's magics. You require to have a pot of paint for the component of this ability.
You can give a pot of paint the abilities of the Marvelous Pigments spell to be used once per long rest.
"These pigments allow you to create three-dimensional objects by painting them in two dimensions. The paint flows from the brush to form the desired object as you concentrate on its image.
Each pot of paint is sufficient to cover 1,000 square feet of a surface, which lets you create inanimate objects or terrain features--such as a door, a pit, flowers, trees, cells, rooms, or weapons-- that are up to 10,000 cubic feet. It takes 10 minutes to cover 100 square feet.
When you complete the painting, the object or terrain feature depicted becomes a real, nonmagical object. Thus, painting a door on a wall creates an actual door that can be opened to whatever is beyond. Painting a pit on a floor creates a real pit, and its depth counts against the total area of objects you create.
Nothing created by the pigments can have a value greater than 25 gp. If you paint an object of greater value (such as a diamond or a pile of gold), the object looks authentic, but close inspection reveals it is made from paste, bone, or some other worthless material.
If you paint a form of energy such as fire or lightning, the energy appears but dissipates as soon as you complete the painting, doing no harm to anything."
Anything that is made using the pot of paint from Nolzur's Secrets that are non-moving, such as doorways, a pit, flowers, trees, cells, and rooms disappear after the following dawn.
Impressionist Form
You have taken the form of yourself as if you have stepped through into a realm of paint and ink, color and line, and 2 dimensional.
You spend 5 Sorcery Points to take this form for 10 minutes. You receive certain advantages and disadvantages when you do.
- You gain resistance to all damage done by spells, but vulnerability to all physical damage.
- You can hide within murals, paintings, and posters as well as alter your coloration to match walls to have advantage on stealth checks as you stand still and you can move through and occupy a space as narrow as 4 inches wide without squeezing. However, you have disadvantage on stealth checks if you are moving.
- You can change your size between Tiny to Large and you can appear as any creature, but they match your Impressionist Form giving you disadvantage at pretending to be something else. While you choose to be a creature, you can choose to have their movement speed stats as well as breathe underwater.
- You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed and you can move as if you are walking on ground.
Color Choice
As a manipulator of color in paint, you also can manipulate the power in your color specific spells.
You choose which magical damage type you'd like to add your charisma modifier too for additional damage.
You can only do this once per short rest. While in your Impressionist Form, you can change this twice before you take a short rest.
Self Portrait
After you've magically created one pot of paint using Nolzur's Secrets, you can use the whole pot to then cast the Simulacrum spell on yourself.
When you do so, the Simulacrum appears and acts like you in your Impressionist Form and it cannot look you outside your Impressionist Form.
It does not disappear after the next dawn, but you cannot make a new pot of paint while it is.
It does have it's own spell slots, but it does not regain them after a short or long rest.
