Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Destruction Spells table. Spells marked with an asterisk are new spells. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Destruction Aura. As an action, you channel the power of destruction to create an aura surrounding yourself in a 10ft sphere of energy that amplifies you and your allies ability to destroy your enemies. You and your allies weapons for the next 10 minutes deal an additional 1d4 necrotic damage on your and their first attack each turn.

Gradual Destruction. As a bonus action, you channel the powerful might of destruction and heighten the injuries of an enemy creature. When activating this ability you choose a creature you can see which you have dealt damage to and by channeling destruction you double the damage you had dealt that turn to that creature over the next 3 turns (equal damage dealt at the start of each round).

Soul of Annihilation

Starting at 7th level, You are constantly surrounded in the Soul of Annihilation in a radius of 10 ft. in which enemies who enter this area are forced to make a Wisdom saving throw equal to you spell save DC. If the opponent fails their saving throw they are overcome by the Soul of Annihilation and are filled by rage, due to this they cannot tell enemies from foes, attacking anyone within range. Additionally they will lose the ability to concentrate on spells as the Soul of Annihilation and will also stop concentrating on any spell they were concentrating on prior. However if the enemy succeeds the saving throw they will only take an amount of damage equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of 1) and cannot be forced to make the saving throw for another 24 hours.

Overpowering Presence

At 15th level, you can force fear into the mind of another creature whenever said creature moves into or out of your reach. The creature takes 1d10 psychic damage and must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be paralyzed.

Soul of Annihilation

At 20th level, you learn to channel the power of destruction and become a paragon of chaos. As an action, you embrace chaos to gain the following benefits for 1 hour:

  • You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks and your walking speed is doubled.
  • The ground within a 10 foot radius around you reacts to your killing intent. Enemies moving within a 10 feet of you take 1d12 piercing damage for each 10 feet moved within this area.
  • You can cast spells with a casting time of an action with a bonus action.
  • You can spend spell slots of any level to send out a destructive wave. As an action you may expend any level spell slot and send out a burst of energy. All creatures around you in a 15 foot radius centered around you must make a Dexterity saving throw equal to your spell save DC or take 1d10 damage per level of the spell slot, this damage can be your choice from either fire, lightning or necrotic taking half as much damage on a successful save.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
