Base Class: Wizard
Being a brewer is more than just potion-making, it's an artform. You need to have finesse, patience, and the ability to deceive people into thinking it'll do what you claim it does. Most importantly, it's about gathering the ingredients to turn the tides of battle in an instant.
Level 3: Snake Oil Salesman
Be skilled in the art of magic as well as how to sell it, at the cost of others not trusting you.
Have advantage on Arcana, have a bonus of +1 in Arcana, have a bonus of +2 in Persuasion, and disadvantage in Deception.
Level 3: Rushed Brewery
Spend an action to rush the creation of a snake oil. Can only be done 2 times per long rest. Roll intellect of 18-proficiency bonus or higher to make the potion. If you fail the check, roll wild magic and end your turn immediately.
Level 6: A Late One
Make snake oil of even the foulest drinks as well as the sweetest. Allows you to use alcohol as a base for potion making.
Foul Drink
Create potions of foul drinks: bad tasting, cheap beers from the alley. They offer stronger drunken effects and are potent to the flame.
Sweet Drink
A soft tipsy feel with the aroma of sweet cherries. An expensive wine as a base can truly elevate your allies' moods and, with the right snake oils, their health.
Level 10: Ink Factory
You always have the Counterspell [Tooltip Not Found] spells prepared. In addition, you can cast Dispel Magic as a Bonus Action, and you can add your Proficiency Bonus to its ability check.
When you cast either spell with a spell slot, that slot isn’t expended if the spell fails to stop a spell.
Level 14: Snake Oil of Pyromancy
Enthrall your opponents in pyres made from the very potions you created.
You must already have Snake Oils made to use this.
