Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians of the Path of the Endless Dark channel the raw, crushing power of the cosmos itself. Whether they were born under the sign of a distant black star, survived being devoured by a singularity, or formed a pact with an unknowable cosmic force, these barbarians wield gravitational energies with terrifying effect.

Level 3: Void Leaper

Gravity bends to your will, allowing you to leap with impossible force. While you are not wearing heavy armor:

  • Your jump distance is doubled. At 10th level, your jump distance is tripled.
  • Falling damage you take is reduced by an amount equal to five times your proficiency bonus.

Level 3: Graviton Grasp

When you activate your rage, and as a bonus action on subsequent turns while raging, you can choose one creature you can see within 15 feet. That creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be pulled up to 15 feet directly toward you. If they’re already within 5 feet, you may instead knock them prone.

If the target ends this movement within 5 feet of you, you can make a melee weapon attack against it as part of the same bonus action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. Activating rage does not spend a charge of this feature.

Level 3: Gravitational Burst

When you enter a rage, you emit a burst of gravitational force. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be knocked prone.

Level 6: Singularity Collapse

You conjure a momentary gravitational core that implodes inward. As a bonus action, choose a point you can see within 30 feet. All creatures of your choice within 10 feet must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). On a failed save, they take 2d6 + your rage damage bonus force damage and are pulled 10 feet toward the center. Creatures that fail this save also have their speed halved until the start of your next turn.

The damage and area of effect increases at higher levels.

  • 10th level. 3d6 + rage damage. 15 feet area of effect.
  • 14th level. 4d6 + rage damage. 20 feet area of effect.

You can use this feature once per activation of rage.

Level 10: Gravitational Anchor

Your gravitational control shields you from dislocation and disrupts enemy mobility. You cannot be moved against your will while raging, including by teleportation effects unless you choose.

When a creature you can see within 10 feet of you uses movement, you can use your reaction to reduce that movement by half until the end of the turn. If they fail a Strength saving throw, they are also pulled 5 feet toward you.

Level 14: Event Horizon

You become the center of a battlefield-sized singularity. At the start of each of your turns while raging, each creature of your choice within 15 feet must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pulled 15 feet toward you and take 2d6 force damage.

Additionally, you are immune to the grappled, restrained, and prone conditions while raging, and you no longer take damage from falling while raging.
