Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Some sorcerers channel their innate magic through their bodies, transforming their blades, fists, and movements into conduits of arcane power. For a Spellforged Duelist, each strike is a spell, and every motion pulses with sorcerous energy, blending martial precision with magical might.

Innate Sorcery: Overdrive Infusion

When you activate your Innate Sorcery feature, you surge with arcane energy, enhancing your combat prowess for its duration (1 minute). You gain the following benefits:

  • Unarmored Defense: When you aren’t wearing armor or using a shield, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.
  • Spellforged: You have proficiency with martial weapons that do not have the heavy or special properties.
  • Infused Strikes: When you hit a creature with a weapon attack or unarmed strike, you deal an additional 1d4 damage. You choose the damage type each time you activate Innate Sorcery: acid, cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder.
  • Arcane Agility: Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.

Spellstrike Conversion

Your magic enhances your martial attacks. You gain the following benefits:

  • Charisma Surge: When you hit with a weapon attack or unarmed strike, you add your Charisma modifier to the damage roll (in addition to Strength or Dexterity).
  • Spellforged Prowess: You gain access to weapon masteries while your innate sorcery is active.
  • Spellstrike Conversion: Once per turn when you take the Attack action, you can expend a 1st-level spell slot to make one additional weapon attack as part of that action. This increases to allow an 2nd-level spell slot for 2 additional attacks at level 10, and a 3rd-level spell slot for 3 additional attacks at level 14. Alternatively, you can replace any attack from this action with a sorcerer cantrip that has a casting time of 1 action.

Metamagic Strikes

Your sorcery flows directly into your strikes. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack or unarmed strike enhanced by your Infused Strikes, you can apply one of the following Metamagic options to the attack by spending the normal number of Sorcery Points. You can apply only one Metamagic option per attack unless otherwise noted:

  • Careful Spell: Redirect arcane energy to bolster yourself. Choose one:
    • Regain hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.
    • Gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.
    • Gain a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn.
  • Distant Spell: After the attack, you can teleport up to 30 feet to a space you can see closer to the target. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.
  • Empowered Spell: The extra damage from your Infused Strikes is doubled for this attack.
  • Extended Spell: Your melee attack’s reach increases by 10 feet for this attack.
  • Heightened Spell: You gain advantage on the attack roll. If the attack hits, the target has disadvantage on its next saving throw against a spell you cast before the end of your next turn.
  • Quickened Spell: You can make one weapon attack or unarmed strike with Infused Strikes as a bonus action.
  • Subtle Spell: The attack produces no visible magical effects or sounds, and it doesn’t break the effects of Stealth or Invisibility.
  • Twinned Spell: When you hit a creature, a different creature of your choice within 10 feet of the target also takes the Infused Strikes damage.

Enhanced Infusion

Your arcane infusion grows stronger. You gain the following benefits:

  • Improved Infused Strikes: The extra damage from your Infused Strikes increases to 1d8.
  • Reliable Strikes: Once per turn when you miss with a weapon attack or unarmed strike, you can spend 1 Sorcery Point to reroll the attack roll, taking the new result.

Arcane Apex

You embody the perfect union of magic and martial prowess. While your Innate Sorcery feature is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • Overwhelming Infusion: Your Infused Strikes deal an additional die of damage (2d8 total).
  • Chain Arcana: Once per turn when you hit a creature with a weapon attack or unarmed strike, you can cast a sorcerer cantrip with a casting time of 1 action as part of the same attack, targeting the same creature.
  • Enduring Overdrive: The duration of your Innate Sorcery increases to 2 minutes.
