Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Encores Bard draws from the great performance that is Life! ....and equally Death. Their magic flourishes equally when stealing the spotlight heroically, and when in torturous agony. So long as it makes a good show.

Storyteller

Storyteller
You are the narrator as well as the lead. You decide how the tale unfolds.
When a creature you can see within 30 feet makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can use your reaction to expend one use of Bardic Inspiration. You roll your Bardic Inspiration die and choose to add or subtract the result from the roll.
You may make this decision after the roll is made and its success or failure is known — because that’s not how this story was meant to go.

Rewrite by Blade

You wield your blade as if it were a pen, and the world bends to your performance.

You can use your Charisma modifier instead of Strength or Dexterity for attack and damage rolls made with finesse weapons.

When you hit a creature with a finesse weapon attack, you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration to activate a Narrative Strike, choosing one of the following effects:

------------

✂️ Cut From the Script
The target must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC = your Bard spell save DC) or be teleported up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space of your choice within 30 feet that you can see, as the script shifts to accommodate them.

On a failed save, the target takes 2 Bardic Inspiration dice of psychic damage. On a successful save, they are not moved but take half damage.

---

🎭 Drop the Act

You tear away the illusion for all to see. The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the following effects occur:

Any invisibility, disguise, or illusion-based effect currently affecting the target is revealed or ends (at your DM’s discretion).

The target takes 2 Bardic Inspiration dice of psychic damage.

On a successful save, the target takes half damage and their magic remains intact.

---

🔁 Encore

The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failure, they must repeat the same action they took on their last turn, using the same ability, spell, or attack (expending any necessary resources). If they cannot repeat their last action, they stand stunned until the end of their next turn, caught off-script.

Whether the action is repeated or not, the target takes 2 Bardic Inspiration dice of psychic damage on a failed save, or half damage on a successful save.
