Base Class: Sorcerer
Some sorcerers channel their innate magic through their bodies, transforming their blades, fists, and movements into conduits of arcane power. For a Spellforged Duelist, each strike is a spell, and every motion pulses with sorcerous energy, blending martial precision with magical might.
Innate Sorcery: Overdrive
When you activate your Innate Sorcery feature, you surge with arcane energy, enhancing your combat prowess for its duration (1 minute). You gain the following benefits:
* Unarmored Defense: When you aren’t wearing armor or using a shield, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.
* Spellforged Blade: while innate sorcery is active, you may spend a spell slot to conjure a magical blade as an action. This weapon lasts for the duration of your innate sorcery. If you are seperated from this weapon by any means the blade disappears. As long as you are still in the same innate sorcery that you originally conjured the blade, you may spend a sorcery point to conjure this blade again as a bonus action without expending a spell slot - the damage remains the same as it was when originally conjured.
- Level 1 spell slot: 1d4 force
- Level 2 spell slot: 1d6 force
- Level 3 spell slot: 1d8 force
- Level 4 spell slot: 1d10 force
- Level 5 spell slot: 1d12 force
- Level 6 spell slot: 2d6 force
- Level 7 spell slot: 2d8 force
- Level 8 spell slot: 2d10 force
- Level 9 spell slot: 2d12 force
* Arcane Agility: Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
Spellstrike Conversion
Your magic enhances your martial attacks. You gain the following benefits:
* Charisma Surge: When you hit with your spellforged blade, you add your Charisma modifier to the damage roll.
* Spellstrike Conversion: Once per turn when you take the Attack action, you can expend a 1st-level spell slot or higher to make one additional weapon attack as part of that action. This increases to allow a 2nd-level spell slot or higher for 2 additional attacks at level 10, and a 3rd-level spell slot or higher for 3 additional attacks at level 14. Alternatively, you can replace any attack from this action with a sorcerer cantrip that has a casting time of 1 action.
Metamagic Strikes
Your sorcery flows directly into your strikes. When you hit a creature with your spellforged blade, you can apply one of the following Metamagic options you know to the attack by spending the normal number of Sorcery Points. You can apply only one Metamagic option per attack unless otherwise noted:
* Careful Spell: Redirect arcane energy to bolster yourself. Choose one:
* Regain hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.
* Gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.
* Gain a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn.
* Distant Spell: After the attack, you can teleport up to 30 feet to a space you can see. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.
* Empowered Spell: You may change the damage type of your spellforged blade until the end of your turn to: acid, cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder.
* Extended Spell: Your melee attack’s reach increases by 10 feet for tors attack .
* Heightened Spell: You gain advantage on the attack roll. If the attack hits, the target has disadvantage on its next saving throw against a spell you cast before the end of your next turn.
* Quickened Spell: you receive the benefits of dash and disengage.
* Subtle Spell: The attack produces no visible magical effects or sounds, and it doesn’t break the effects of Stealth or Invisibility.
* Twinned Spell: When you hit a creature, a different creature of your choice within 5 feet of the target also takes the damage.
Arcane Apex
18th-level Spellforged Duelist feature
You embody the perfect union of magic and martial prowess. While your Innate Sorcery feature is active, you gain the following benefits:
* Chain Arcana: When you hit a creature with your spellforged blade, you can cast a sorcerer cantrip with a casting time of 1 action as part of the same attack, targeting the same creature.
* Enduring Overdrive: The duration of your Innate Sorcery increases to 2 minutes.
