Base Class: Rogue
Amongst Owlfolk, hunting is not a hobby or a job; it is a necessity for an Owlfolk that can not feed themselves, and is seen as naught but a dreg to be left out by the tribe if not outright eaten for being a waste. Sharp-eyes are excellent at using their flight and positioning to gain an advantage over their prey. Their art has been shared in very small amounts with others, especially druids and rangers.
Level 3: Deep breaths
-
While you benefit from cover, you gain an additional +1 bonus to AC.
-
When you use Steady Aim, you also gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus until the start of your next turn.
-
Accuracy Boost: When you make a ranged attack with advantage, add a +1 bonus to the attack roll. This bonus increases to +2 at 9th level and +3 at 17th level.
Level 3: High ground
-
When you are at least 10 feet above your target, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls with ranged weapons.
-
While attacking from this elevated position, you ignore half cover on that attack.
Level 9: Piercing bolt
-
When you make an attack while benefiting from cover or from a position at least 10 feet above your target, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage.
-
That attack also ignores up to three-quarters cover.
-
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 13: Long eye
-
When you make a ranged attack against a target at least 60 feet away, you may reroll any damage dice that show a 1 or 2, using the new roll.
-
You must use the new result.
- When you make a ranged attack against a creature at least 30 feet from you while you are adjacent to cover, you can ignore half cover even if you are not expending your Piercing bolt use.
Level 17: Final Measure
-
When you use Steady Aim, you may also ignore disadvantage imposed by environmental or situational factors (such as long range, dim light, or a prone enemy).
-
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
- If you begin your turn adjacent to cover, you can treat half cover as three-quarters cover until the start of your next turn.
