Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Draconic Berserker are dragonborn who have learned to channel their fury into the very essence of their draconic heritage. Where most barbarians embody raw strength or the savagery of beasts, these warriors awaken the slumbering power of ancient dragons within their bloodline.
When their rage ignites, so too does the breath of their ancestors. Their elemental exhalations grow deadlier and more frequent, burning, freezing, or shocking foes with relentless force. Their scales thicken and darken in battle, deflecting blows with the durability of dragonhide. Each strike and roar carries with it the echo of dragonkind, terrifying their enemies and inspiring awe in their allies.
As they rise in power, their transformation deepens. Some sprout ridges, horns, or talons more akin to their draconic progenitors. Finally, at the peak of their fury, wings erupt from their back, lifting them into the air on surges of primal rage. In these moments, they are not merely dragonborn — they are living avatars of dragon fury, warriors whose presence on the battlefield strikes the same dread as the dragons of legend.
Level 3: Reflexive Breath
While raging, regain the use of your breath weapon when you successfully critical hit with a melee attack. Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
Level 6: Draconic Fury
You can channel draconic energy into your weapon strikes. While raging each of your weapon attacks deal extra damage (same as your dragon lineage) equal to half your barbarian level (rounded down). You can replace one attack with your breath weapon.
While raging, each creature of the barbarian's choice that is within 10 feet and aware of it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + prof modifier + con modifier) or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the barbarian's Draconic Fury for the next 24 hours.
Level 10: Brutal Breath
When you unleash your fury, your ancestral breath surges with unstoppable power. The range of your Breath Weapon increases by 10 feet, carrying the full force of your rage-fueled heritage. Those who fail their saving throws are overwhelmed, their bodies seizing in primal terror and elemental shock, leaving them paralyzed until the end of their next turn. Even those who resist cannot escape unscathed—your presence slows them, sapping their strength and will to flee, reducing their movement speed by 10 feet until the end of their next turn.
Level 14: Dragonborn's Ascension
As your rage deepens, so too does your connection to the ancient power in your blood. Muscles strain and bone shifts as scaled wings tear free from your back, unfolding with thunderous might. In these moments you are no longer bound to the earth — you are a storm given flesh, the fury of dragonkind unleashed. Your flight becomes a blur of speed and ferocity, arrows glancing from your hide as though striking the scales of your ancestors. With every beat of your wings, you ascend closer to the majesty of true dragons, a terrifying vision of draconic wrath made manifest.
You sprout a pair of leathery dragon wings from your back, gaining a flying speed equal to your movement speed.
You gain the following improvements while raging: Your fly speed doubles. Your natural resistance becomes an immunity instead. You can move up to 15ft without triggering an AoO as a reaction upon being hit by a ranged attack and make a melee attack against that target if close enough.
