Base Class: Barbarian
Tough as the stone they mine, these Barbarians are one with the mountains they mine from. Their hardened nature allows them to take on the resilience of mountains, sprouting jagged rocks from their bodies when enraged, as their veins burn like magma.
Level 3: Mountainous Might
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Stone Cutter's Tools and Chemistry Tools when making or interacting with explosives such as dynamite.
As a bonus action, while enraged, you can make an Unarmed Strike that deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier of Piercing damage. This becomes a 1d8 at level 10.
While your Rage is active, your body grows jagged rock. When you are hit with a melee weapon attack, the attacking creature receives an amount of Piercing damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Furthermore, you may choose to change your added Rage damage to Fire damage. Additionally, while enraged, you are Resistant to Fire damage and cannot be knocked Prone.
Level 6: Miner Safety Features
At 6th level, when you use Reckless Attack, you receive an amount of Temporary Hit Points equal to your Constitution modifier on a hit. If you use Reckless Attack while your Rage is active, you receive twice as many Temporary Hit Points.
Level 10: Pain Points
Starting at 10th level, you can now store heat within yourself while enraged, which builds up as you receive damage. This buildup is represented by a pool of 50 points. Whenever you take damage, an amount of points equal to the damage received is added to your pool of Pain Points. These points can be used to utilize the following features:
Backblast (15 Pain Points). As a Reaction to a creature of your choice within 5 feet of you being targeted by a melee weapon attack, you can exude a wave of scorching air towards the attacking creature, causing it to attack with Disadvantage.
Burnout (25 Pain Points). As a Bonus Action, you can imbue your weapon with magical fire, causing it to deal an additional 1d6 Fire damage from the attack. At the start of each of its turns until the effect ends, the target takes 1d6 Fire damage and then makes a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the burning continues. On a successful save, the effect ends.
To The Stars (35 Pain Points). As an Action, you superheat some of your rocky skin before throwing it up to 60 feet. It then explodes in a 15-foot Radius sphere, all creatures within the area must succeed a Dexterity saving throw (8 + your Con modifier + your PB), taking 2d12 Fire damage and receiving the Prone condition on a failed save. Half damage only on a successful save. The affected area becomes difficult terrain for 1 minute or until the area is altered, fixed, or cleared.
Level 14: Heaven Piercer
Starting at 14th level, your Piercing and Fire damage caused by your Barbarian features ignores Resistances and Immunities. Additionally, your hardened skin has become indiscernible from stone, now applying the affects of Mountainous Might, halved, while your Rage in inactive. Furthermore, you gain the following feature.
Ring of Ifrit (50 Pain Points). You create a ringed walled up to 20 feet in diameter, 20 feet high, and 1 foot thick made of magical fire. The walls are opaque and lasts up to 1 minute. When the ring appears, each creature within its area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 5d8 fire damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. One side of the ring, selected by you when you cast this spell, deals 5d8 fire damage to each creature that ends its turn within 10 feet of that side or inside the ring. A creature takes the same damage when it enters the wall for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there. The other side of the ring deals no damage.
