Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Gospel are devout performers who blend music and faith, using their talents to inspire, heal, and protect. With hymns that stir the soul and sermons woven into poetic tales, these bards are as much preachers as they are musicians, carrying messages of hope, compassion, and faith wherever they go.
Bards of Gospel often attend holy gatherings, singing in choirs or leading congregations in rapturous choruses that echo through sanctuaries and temples. They tell stories of the divine—of heroes blessed by the gods, of miracles wrought by faith, and of virtues that uplift the spirit.
To the Gospel Bard, every song is a prayer, and every note is a testament to the power of belief.
Clergy Initiate
When you join the College of Gospel at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use a Holy Symbol as a Spell Casting focus.
You also gain proficiency in one Cleric skill of your choice (History, Insight, Medicine, Persuasion, or Religion).
Melody of the Choir
At 3rd level, you learn to sing with a voice that inspires faith in others. As a bonus action, you hum a harmonious lullaby. When you do so, choose a number of creatures within 60 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each chosen creature gains a Soothing Hymn, which lasts for up to 1 hour. A creature can only have one Soothing Hymn at a time.
When a creature with a Soothing Hymn regains hit points from a spell or magical effect you cast or create, it regains additional hit points equal to 1d4, and the Soothing Hymn is expended.
The bonus healing increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 2d4 at 5th level, 3d4 at 10th level, and 4d4 at 15th level.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses on a long rest.
Words of Praise
When a creature rolls a Bardic Inspiration that you have given, they may use it to heal for the rolled amount instead of receiving its regular effects.
Expanded Spell List
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Gospel Spells table. Each spell counts as a bard spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of bard spells you know.

Whenever you gain a bard level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level from the bard spell list.
Devout Inspiration
At 6th level, your strong devotion to a deity inspires others. You gain a number of uses of Devout Inspiration equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). As a bonus action, you choose a creature within 60ft of you to receive a Devout Inspiration. While a creature has a Devout Inspiration, the next time it regains hit points or temporary hit points from any source, it can choose to gain the maximum amount possible instead of rolling. The effect is then consumed. A creature can only have one Devout Inspiration at a time.
Alternatively, as an action, you can expend one use of Devout Inspiration to cast a 2nd-level spell or lower from your known spells that restores hit points or grants temporary hit points.
You regain all expended uses of Devout Inspiration after completing a long rest.
Song of Salvation
At 14th level, you can perform a powerful hymn of salvation that bolsters your allies’ endurance. As an action, you sing a hymn that fills the air with a protective aura , reaching out to all friendly creatures within 30 feet. For one minute, each creature within range gains the following benefits:
- They receive 10 temporary hit points, which are reapplied at the start of each of their turns.
- They are under the effects of the Bless spell for the duration, granting them a 1d4 bonus to attack rolls and saving throws.
- If an affected creature is reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, they automatically stabilize. They are also under the effects of the Sanctuary spell while downed.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
