Base Class: Rogue
Weave
Level 3: Weaver's Art
You have the following abilities when you use a dagger to attack a creature. If the feature calls for a saving throw or ability check, the DC is equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity modifier.
Woven Bindings. As an action, or when you hit with a dagger, you can attach a goldsilk thread to a creature. The thread is nearly Invisible, and the other end can be attached to another creature within 60 feet of the first in the same way. The thread requires a Wisdom (Perception) or Intelligence (Investigation) check to see, and can be broken if the creature makes a Strength saving throw. When two creatures are attached by a goldsilk thread, they move at half their Speed and must move the same direction.
Drawstring. As a Bonus Action, you can tug the middle of a thread to pull creatures or unsecured objects toward one another, forcing the targets to make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, one of the following occurs:
- If both targets are the same size, the lower saving throw is pulled toward the higher, and both targets take 2d6 Bludgeoning damage for every 5 feet the target travels toward the other.
- A smaller target is always pulled toward a larger target if it fails, and both targets take 2d6 Bludgeoning damage for every 5 feet the target travels toward the larger creature.
- If one of the targets is immobile, the other creature is Restrained by the immobile target and takes 2d6 Bludgeoning damage for every 5 feet it travels.
- If both targets fail by the same amount, then both targets take 2d6 Piercing damage as the threads are yanked from their skin.
Additionally, at 17th level, your melee reach increases by 5 feet.
Level 9: Cinch
Whenever you deal damage to a creature who has a goldsilk thread attached to another creature, the other creature takes half of the damage dealt to the first creature.
Level 13: Puppet's Strings
As an action, you can touch a creature with a goldsilk thread attached to it and cast Dominate Monster. The spell save DC for this spell equals 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity modifier, and the spell ends at the end of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier per Long Rest.
Level 17: A Stitch In Time
You can cast Time Stop as an action once per Long Rest. During the duration of the spell, you can use an action to attach a thread to a creature or object without attacking it or ending the spell. Additionally, you can use a Bonus Action to use your Drawstring feature on each goldsilk thread you have active, ending the spell in the process.
