Base Class: Blood Hunter
Nothing compares to the excitement you feel seeing your prey perfectly centered in the crosshairs of your sights. Whatever the job entails or how much it pays, the true reward you feel is the thrill of the hunt. The Bounty Hunter is a skilled marksman and a supreme tracker, able to locate targets through word of mouth or written contract and endeavors to bring in their prey dead or alive.
Upon becoming a Bounty Hunter, the player gains proficiency with firearms. The pistol must be reloaded after every 6 shots and the rifle after every shot.
Thrill of the Hunt
Beginning at 3rd level, the Bounty Hunter is able to mark a specific target they have heard about or seen. The Bounty Hunter cannot mark another target unless the current target is either unmarked or dies. After unmarking a target, it takes 1 hour for the Bounty Hunter to mark a new target. For as long as the target is marked, the Bounty Hunter has advantage on all Perception, Insight, Investigation, and History checks regarding the target.
Targeted Accuracy
Your research on a marked target has given you insights into their defenses and methods of combat. Beginning at level 3, all your attacks against a marked target are made with advantage.
Nowhere to Run
Letting a target go is bad for business. Beginning at level 7, if a marked target attempts to flee from combat, you may make an opportunity attack against them at range.
Draw
Your increased insight into the habits of your target has given you that slight edge to defeat them. Beginning at level 7, the Bounty Hunter has advantage on their combat initiative roll when facing a marked target.
Bullseye
Beginning at level 11, the Bounty Hunter may use a bonus action to steady their aim in order to make a pinpoint shot on a target. Doing so reduces your speed to 0 until the end of your turn. Your next attack is an automatic critical hit if the attack hits. This ability may only be used if you have not moved since the beginning of your turn and may be used once per short rest.
Quick Hands
Beginning at level 11, reloading your firearm becomes a bonus action.
Dead or Alive
You are not without a sense of mercy, but that mercy if fleeting. Beginning at level 15, the Bounty Hunter may use an action to gain advantage on a Persuasion or Intimidation roll against a marked target. If the roll fails to influence the target, your next attack against the target deals maximum dice damage if the attack hits.
One Shot, One Kill
A clean kill is always nice, but a clean kill with a personal touch is even better. Beginning at level 18, the Bounty Hunter can spend 1 hour to inscribe the name of a marked target on one of their bullets. You must declare this bullet is being used before the attack with it is made. If the attack fails, you must spend another hour to inscribe another bullet. If the attack hits, it is an automatic critical hit and deals maximum dice damage. This ability may only be used once per long rest and only if you have an inscribed bullet with the marked target's name.
