The art of corruption is an archaic and dark form of magic manipulation that involves the spellcaster to drain their own life force to empower their own magic. Many don't make it far at all in their careers when they commit to this art. But those dedicated enough be see immense boosts in power and potency in their spellcasting, especially when they're closer to death. Pain, adrenaline, stress. All factors a Corrupter uses to generate great feats. But what truly gives the Corrupter their reputation is the fact all of that power that they can achieve from self inflicted harm can be mitigated from draining the life forces of others.

Level 3: Corruptive Siphon

3rd-level Corrupter feature

You can bolster parts of your body at the cost of your vitality. As a Bonus Action, you can spend a total number of Hit Points equal to your half Constitution score (round down) to gain a bonus on D20 Tests with the following options equal to the Hit Points spent until the start of your next turn.

  • Saving Throw (1-5 HP)
  • Ability Check (1-5 HP)
  • Attack Roll (1-5 HP)

You cannot use this feature if you only have 1 Hit Point remaining.

Level 3: Wicked Defense

3rd-level Corrupter feature

Death Defier. You have Advantage on Death Saving Throws.

Impervious Body. As a Reaction you can take when you are about to take damage, you can make yourself unaffected by damage rolls equal to or less than your Intelligence modifier plus your Wizard level until the start of your next turn. If the damage is greater than the total, subtract the total from the damage roll. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finisb a Long Rest.

Level 6: Pain to Power

6th-level Corrupter feature

The longer you endure in a battle, the more you become its biggest threat. When your current Hit Points are less than or equal to one the following HP thresholds, you gain the following benefits.

Three-Quarters HP. You gain Heroic Inspiration at the start of each of your turns if you don’t have any.

Bloodied. You gain a bonus to AC equal to your Intelligence modifier

One-Quarter HP. You gain a bonus to your Spell Save DC equal to your Constitution modifier.

Level 10: Vitality Theft

10th-level Corrupter feature

Once per turn, whenever you damage a creature with a spell you casted, you can choose to regain a number of Hit Points equal to 2d6 plus your Intelligence modifier.

Level 14: Deadly Doom

14th-level Corrupter feature

You bring yourself back from the brink of death to make your strongest attack. If you are about to take damage that would reduce you to 0 Hit Points but not kill you immeadiately, you can take a Reaction to expend any amount of your Hit Point Dice plus your Constitution modifier for each Hit Point Dice spent. On your next damage roll, you can add a bonus equal to the amount of Hit Points you regained. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish Long Rest.
