Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Path of the Brawler barbarians don't care much for weapons. They let their fists do the talking and anyone who stands in their way will get knocked out. Use your unarmed attacks and grapples to vanquish your enemies!

Level 3: Fists of steel

Starting at level 3, your unarmed attacks deal 1D6 bludgeoning damage + your strength modifier. While raging, this increases to 1D8. While raging, you can use an unarmed attack as a bonus action. All features that mention a weapon attack in their descriptions, unless it is a specific weapon or weapon type, also apply to unarmed attacks.

At level 6, the damage die increases to 1D8 or 1D10 while raging, and your unarmed attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances.

At level 14, the damage die increases to 1D10 or 1D12 while raging.

Wrestler

Starting at level 3, when making an unarmed attack while attacking recklessly you can use both the grapple and the damage option at the same time. The save DC (dex or str) is equal to 8 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus. While raging, you also add your rage bonus to your save DC. You may grapple creatures up to two sizes bigger than you. If they are two sizes bigger than you they will have advantage on their save. You can move up to half your speed when grappling a creature your size or smaller.

Submission Specialist

Starting at level 6, once per turn as an object interaction you can deal bludgeoning damage equal to your strength modifier to a creature that is grappled by you. If you are raging, you also add your rage damage bonus.

Additionally, while you are raging creatures now have disadvantage to escape your grapple (if a creature is two sizes larger than you, this only negates their advantage).

Meat Shield

Starting at level 10, you can use grappled creatures as a shield. While you have a creature grappled, you gain half cover (+2 to your AC). Any ranged, melee or spell attack that misses you but would have hit without the half cover hits the grappled creature instead. For example, if your normal AC is 15 and you are grappling a creature, your AC becomes 17, and an attack roll of 16 or 17 will hit the grappled creature.

Grapple Attacks

Starting at level 10, when attacking a creature already grappled by you, you can turn the attack into a grapple attack, ending the grappled condition. Roll your attack and damage normally. The target must then succeed a DEX or STR saving throw equal to 8 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus. While raging, you also add your rage bonus to your DC. On a fail, they are slammed to the ground and are knocked prone and stunned until the end of their next turn. This feature can be attempted a number of times equal to your STR modifier (minimum 1) per short rest.

Backbreaker

Starting at level 14, when making a grapple attack, you can make the target roll a CON save instead. On a fail, they are knocked prone and paralysed for up to one minute and the attack becomes a critical hit. They can roll the save again at the end of each of their turn to end the paralysed condition.

Reckless Grappler

Starting at level 14, you can now attempt to grapple a creature of any size. If they are more than two sizes larger than you, the save DC is reduced by 2 per size larger than you, and they have advantage regardless of whether or not you are raging. This also applies to the save DC for grapple attacks.
