Bard
Base Class: Bard

Music isn't the only way to inspire. Being born leaders, the bards from this college pursue careers in guiding and grooming groups of people into legends. Some of these bards do attend schools to learn basic leadership skills, but others go straight into guilds and organizations. What draws people into this college may be a thirst for gold or power, but some, pure of heart, truly want to watch people succeed and be a proponent of that success.

Tools of Leadership

When you join the College of Business Management at 3rd level you gain proficiency in oration and with the use of a naval whistle. Both your speaking voice and your whistle can be used as your arcane focus. The naval whistle is great for getting creatures attention in load situations. If you plan to take this college you may take oration proficiency at level one instead of proficiency in musical instruments.

Synergy!

At 3rd level you also learn when your teammates need your encouragement most and the quick sense to give it too them before they hit their dead line. If you see an ally within 60 ft. and they are making an ability check or an attack roll on a difficult task, or if they are forced to make a saving throw, you may, before the DM's decision, use your reaction and one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration to give them an inspiration die. It is your ally's choice if they use the inspiration on that particular role. They may choose to save it and have 10 minutes to use it.

Managerial Methods

At 6th level you are ready to crack down and get results. It's time to change up your method, and do what it takes to get through to your people. Choose one of the Managerial Methods below. It will assist you in getting your team back on track.

When you advance a level in this class you may change your Managerial Method to another. At 11th level, you may take up one additional Managerial Method, but when you level up, 11th level or higher, you may only change out one of your methods. You may only have one of the methods available after 11th level at one time. For example, you may not have Team Building Exercises and Risk Management at the same time.

Distant Expectations

It's best to trust your underlings; they know you will be disappointed if they fail. When you use you reaction on Synergy!, the distance is increased to 120 ft. and you do not have to be able to see them. They, however, must be able to here your voice.

Micro-Management

When you use Bardic Inspiration to Inspire an ally, you may use a free action to suggest an action that they can apply the Inspiration to for their next turn (or immediately afterward). If they take that suggested action they can double the number they rolled on the Inspiration Die and then add it to their check.

Multitasking

Your delegation skills are on peak. You can hand out tasks and handle a few yourself. You get an extra reaction per round.

Negotiation

You are a master at making deals. When haggling or striking up an agreement, verbal or written, you have advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks to sway the dealings your way.

Risk Management

If the Inspiration Die granted through Synergy! is used immediately, and the roll is a saving throw, then the target has advantage on the roll.

This Managerial Method requires you to be 11th level.

Team Building Exercises

During down time it's a good idea to organize some activities that will optimize the teams connectability. If you spent up to 10 minute with up to 5 allies team building, they will all receive a one hour Inspiration Die after the rest is over.

This Managerial Method requires you to be 11th level.

Threaten Employment

You also receive this feature at 6th level. When you use your Bardic Inspiration to award an Inspiration Die (Synergy! included) you can use your action to threaten to replace your teammate if they fail today. If they then use their Inspiration Die within 5 minutes they may use double the dice. If they do not use the Inspiration Die within 5 minutes they still have the remainder of the 10 minutes that normal Inspiration Dice allow. If they fail that day, it is up to you whether or not you are a bard of empty threats.

Once you use this feature you must wait until you finish a long rest before you use it again.

Senior Management

You are the boss. At 14th level you may use Threaten Employment twice, and you regain them after any rest.

You may also choose a third Managerial Method, but may only have one of the methods available after 11th level at one time. For example, at 14th level you can have the Micro-Management, Negotiation and Risk Management methods, but you may not have the Distant Expectations, Team Building Exercises and Risk-Management methods at the same time. At higher levels the rules for exchanging Managerial Methods still apply to only one of the methods per level. Paperwork takes time to process.
