Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

A beautiful farm-village sits on the horizon; Fields of wheat litter the open landscape as far as the eye can see. This beautiful visage is the embodiment of peace in an otherwise cruel and decaying world. The very first person to uphold the Oath of Worldbearing was born here and their innocence died here. One fateful day, a simple black ichor slowly dripped its way down upon the lands. First the plants slowly died, then the weather began to shift. A small stream turns to a torrent of putrefactions; The sky tore open, revealing a distorted view of the stars above, then rubble rained down, and all that was left of the village was corpses. The person who witnessed this bore the burden of thousands of ages that came to pass, he never stopped, and upon taking this oath, you shan't as well.

This oath bears only one goal: To never stop, to continue pushing forward even if all around you turns to dust. To bear the burden of others, to push if there's nothing left, to burn until even your body gives out, there is nothing that shall stop you from moving forward.

Tenants of Worldbearing

The tenants follow the same set of ideals, as shall you. The inscriptions of old, burned into your head, read as follows:

Soul Without Substance. Even if my mind and soul give out, I will never stop moving.

A Future Will Come. I will stop anyone who threatens the end of progress.

Remember Agony. Even if the worst comes to pass, I will never forget what came before me.

Fury of Coreflames

You can have a maximum of 15 Coreflames at one time, and all Coreflames reset when you finish a long rest.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Devotion Spells

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following channel divinity option, provided you have the necessary requirements:

Ruinous Irontomb. While wielding 12 or more Coreflames, you obtain the ability to use this channel divinity. As an action, you may expend 12 Coreflames to enter an enhanced state for 1 minute. During this enhanced state, you are unable to gain Coreflames, and you gain the following attributes:

- You gain resistance to fire and radiant damage, and your movement speed increases by 5 feet.

- You take necrotic damage at the start of your turn equal to half of your level which cannot be reduced in any way.

- For every time you use a class feature or spell that is labeled as a "Smite," you gain 1 point of Scourge (maximum of 4). While in the Ruinous Irontomb state, after using a "Smite," you may expend any number of Scourge points to upcast the spell-level of the smite equal to half of the number of Scourge points expended.

 - If you reach 0 hit points while in the Ruinous Irontomb state, you instead leave the form early and regain 1 hit point. Upon doing so, make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to your level (minimum of 10). On a failure, you obtain one level of exhaustion.

Aura of Deliverance

Starting at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you can’t be blinded while you are conscious.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Divine Wings

Beginning at 15th level, you obtain a flying speed equal to half of your movement speed. This effect changes to double your movement speed while you are in the Ruinous Irontomb state.

Stardeath Edict

At 20th level, as an action, you obtain the ability to rain the fury of the cosmos down upon your enemies. Once per day, while in the Ruinous Irontomb state, you are able to able to cast Meteor Swarm without the need for a spell-slot. During this use of Meteor Swarm you may choose up to 10 creatures within sight. The chosen creatures automatically succeed on their saving throws against the spell, and they take no damage if they would normally take half damage on a successful save.
