Base Class: Monk
Warriors of Foresight train their minds to pierce the veil of time itself. Through meditation, intuition, and enlightenment, they learn to catch fleeting glimpses of what will be. These monks act with uncanny precision — sidestepping blows before they land, reacting before danger arises, and turning fate itself to their advantage.
3rd Level — Glimpse of the Future
Your perception stretches beyond the present moment, allowing you to anticipate danger and act before others can.
-
Precognitive Reflexes. You gain a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum +1), and you can’t be surprised while you are conscious.
-
Foresight. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 Focus Point to glimpse into the immediate future. When you do, roll one d20 and record the result.
-
Within the next hour, when any creature that you can see makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can replace that roll with your recorded result. You must decide to do so before the creature rolls.
-
You can only have one recorded die at a time; recording a new one replaces the previous result.
-
6th Level — Flow of Time
Your awareness of possible outcomes allows you to move and react beyond normal limits.
-
Once per round, you can spend 2 focus points to use a second reaction.
-
You can use only one reaction per trigger.
11th Level — Meditation of Insight
Your meditation reaches deep into the current of time itself, allowing you to glimpse potential futures.
Once per long rest, you can spend 10 minutes in a meditative trance to cast the Divination spell, without requiring material components. Your insight manifests as fragmented visions, symbols, or whispers of the future, delivered in a way fitting your tradition.
17th Level — Perfect Foresight
Your perception transcends the limits of mortal time. You move not as a reaction, but as inevitability itself.
As a bonus action, you can spend 5 Focus Points to enter a state of Enhanced Foresight for 1 minute. For the duration:
-
You have advantage on all rolls that involve a d20 and other creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
