Base Class: Sorcerer
Vampires are normally thought of to be evil incarnate, corrupted, and hungering for the blood of other creatures, and corrupting others in turn when satiating their sanguine lust. However, some are rarely known to integrate into mortal society, even starting families with mortals.
The descendants from these unions are known as Daywalkers, due to the strength they gain from their vampiric ancestry, but also lacking the vulnerability to sunlight that their immortal forebears possessed.
Whilst the desire for blood can never be truly extinguished, even passing to offspring, it does not gnaw at the soul as it would that of a true vampire. As such, the cravings the Daywalker feels are much less debilitating, and they can sustain themselves on more simple creatures such as farmstock.
Eye Of Twilight
Due to your vampiric blood, your heightened senses grant you darkvision up to 120ft. You also gain advantage on perception checks against wounded enemies, as the blood pouring from their wounds draws you to them.
Vampiric Fangs
As a vampiric descendant, the fangs of your forebears have been passed along to you.
You possess a pair of fangs that can be utilised as natural weapons, dealing 1d6 piercing damage on a hit. As a bonus action, you can also drain the blood of a victim you bite, healing yourself for 1d6 plus your charisma modifier in health. Your target takes the equivalent in necrotic damage.
You can only drain blood once per short rest, as the imbibement of large amounts of blood will intoxicated those who are not true vampires.
Mist Form
Some vampires possess the ability to turn to mist in order to more easily traverse their surroundings. You have had this ability passed down to you also through your bloodline.
At level 6, once per long rest, you gain a free cast of the spell misty step. You can also expend 2 sorcery points to cast the spell again.
Vampire Magic
At level 6, you gain extra spells through your bloodline.
You gain the eldritch blast cantrip, and eldritch blast gains the ability to eldritch smite.
You also gain a level one and level two spell of your choice. These spells do not count against the number of spells you know, and are always prepared.
Level 1 Spell
You learn a level 1 spell of your choice.
Level 2 spell
You gain a level 2 spell of your choice.
Vampiric Resilience
Your vampiric blood grants you a resistance to that which would kill most mortals.
At level 14, you gain a resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical sources and you no longer require air to survive.
Additionally, you age at half the normal rate for your race.
Blood Moon Transformation
As you fully unlock the potential of your bloodline, you can transform temporarily into a more vampiric form, combining the traits of both sources of your blood into one powerful form.
As an action, you can transform into a vampiric demon like creature. In this form, you gain + 2 to AC, as well as an immunity to necrotic damage. You also gain natural claw weapons, which deal 2d8 slashing damage, and can be used twice per turn. You can also still cast spells in this form, as well as use other class features.
This transformation lasts for turns equal to your charisma modifier. Once you turn back to normal, you gain a point of exhaustion which cannot be removed until you drain blood from a living humanoid creature. This feature can only be used once per long rest.
