Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

DISCLAIMER!!!: you DO NOT have a soul, and as such, every tipe of revive that would require your soul to re-enter its body / a new body have no effect, and you'll remain dead.

The dark priests of the Dead God Gormengorr, who have died a second, spiritual death in return for mastery over the soul itself. By sacrificing their souls to Gormengorr, who will devour their essence upon their eventual death and consign them to eternal oblivion, they have inured themselves against other forms of spiritual corruption and degradation, making them extremely dangerous opponents and potent in binding and forming pacts with devils. Sacrificing one’s soul upon death to a soul-devouring deity is not an issue, of course, if you do not plan to die. Deadsouls are capable of wielding spine blades and ancient curses that scorch the very essence of their foes, withering them to nothingness. Their penchant for inflicting True Death upon their opponents means their very presence inspires a dread terror so powerful that it affects even the undead.

Level 3: Curseproof spells

At first level, the Dead Soul subclass will add the following spells to the list of warlock's always prepared spells (of course, you need to still have access to the required spell slot level to cast them):

Cantrip: Thaumaturgy. Spells: Detect evil and good; False life; Phantasmal force; Speak with dead;  Death ward; Anti-life shell; Passwall.

Level 3: Body necrosis

At 1st level, you manifest an aspect of your patron’s dreadful power. As a bonus action, you transform for 1 minute. You gain the following benefits while transformed:

  • You gain temporary hit points equal to 1d10 + your warlock level.
  • Once during each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an attack, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw, and if the saving throw fails, the target is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
  • You are immune to the frightened condition.

You can transform a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. People around you may sometimes periceve you as a "Bound Devil", an extremely dangerous type of devil often in service of the Dead Souls.

Level 6: To the Slaughter

At 6th level, your patron’s powers have a profound effect on your body and magic. You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.

In addition, once during each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an attack and roll damage against the creature, you can replace the damage type with necrotic damage. While you are using your Form of Dread, you can roll one additional damage die when determining the necrotic damage the target takes.

Level 10: At the gates-

At 10th level, Your connection to undeath and necrotic energy now saturates your body. You have resistance to necrotic damage. If you are transformed using your Form of Dread, you instead become immune to necrotic damage.

In addition, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to drop to 1 hit point instead and cause your body to erupt with deathly energy. Each creature of your choice that is within 30 feet of you takes necrotic damage equal to 2d10 + your warlock level. You then gain 1 level of exhaustion. Once you use this reaction, you can’t do so again until you finish 1d4 long rests.

Level 14: Great satania

Ivory serpent: once every 7 in-game days, you can perform a 30min ritual of a corpse that has died no more than 10 miutes ago. this ritual will ensure the death's of the target's soul, preventing him from being revived in any way (animating their corpse is fine tho, since it's not their soul that's controlling it). NO RULE OR SPELL can circumvent this, not even a WISH,  TRUE REVIVE or REINCARNATE spell.

Temple of the body: When you reach 14th level, you partake of some of the true secrets of the Undying. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d8 + your warlock level. Additionally, if you put a severed body part of yours back in place when you use this feature, the part reattaches.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
