Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

In the sprawling mega-city of Zenith, where invention and sorcery collide, a rare breed of artificer has emerged: the Arcane Spellsmith. These innovators channel arcane power through firearms, turning every bullet into a vessel of magic. To a Arcane Spellsmith, a gun is more than a weapon—it is a focus, a conduit, and a symbol of defiance against those who would hoard power. Whether dueling in crowded plazas, patrolling shadowed alleys, or standing as guardians of the downtrodden, Arcane Spellsmith embody the perfect union of intellect, grit, and arcane firepower.

Firearm Rune-Infusion

3rd-level Spellslinger feature

You've learned how to invoke and channel arcane power through the runes you handcrafted into your weapon. Using tinkerer’s tools or smith’s tools, you can take a bonus action to magically infuse your firearm with additional arcane power.  By activating this ability any firearm you are currently wielding is infused with additional arcane power, resulting in an additional 1d6 force damage.  This effect lasts for 1 minute, and cannot be used again until you complete a short rest.

You can use your arcane firearm as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells. When you cast an artificer spell through the firearm, roll a d8, and you gain a bonus to one of the spell’s damage rolls equal to the number rolled.

Extra Attack

Starting at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Fortified Position

15th-level Arcane Spellsmith feature

You’re a master at forming well-defended emplacements using your firearm:

  • You and your allies have half cover while within 10 feet of you, as a result of a shimmering field of magical protection that your firearm emits.
