Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Domino is a rogue whose very presence creates a cascading chain of luck and misfortune—like dominoes toppling in perfect sequence. Good fortune aligns impossibly in your favor: shots find their mark, traps disarm themselves, and coincidences save your skin. For those around you, especially enemies, the chain runs the other way—missteps, jams, slips, and catastrophic bad luck follow in your wake. You are the tipping point; fate falls one way for you and the opposite for everyone else.

Versatile Arsenal

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your uncanny fortune makes you a natural with any instrument of war or trade.

  • Firearm Mastery: You gain proficiency with all firearms, longbows, and heavy crossbows. You ignore the loading property of all ranged weapons. Whenever you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can immediately make one additional weapon attack as part of the same action (once per turn).
  • Universal Craftsmanship: You are considered proficient with any tool you attempt to use. Furthermore, you gain expertise with any tool you are proficient with (including those granted by this feature), adding double your proficiency bonus to checks made with them.

Reversed Chain

Starting at 3rd level, the dominoes always topple against your foes. Your presence twists probability within 300 feet of you.

  • Aura of Misfortune: All creatures have disadvantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws that target or oppose you.
  • Absolute Luck:
    • You have advantage on all ability checks, initiative rolls, and saving throws.
    • Whenever you roll a natural 1 on any d20 roll, treat it as a natural 20 instead.
    • Any creature that rolls a natural 20 against you treats it as a natural 1 instead.
  • Probability Shift:
    • When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw of 6 or less on the die, you treat the result as a success (regardless of DC, AC, or modifiers).
    • When a creature makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw against you of 6 or less on the die, the roll automatically fails (regardless of DC, AC, or modifiers).
  • Damage Reversal:
    • When a creature deals damage to you from an attack or effect that rolls damage dice, any maximum results on those dice are reversed to the minimum (e.g., a max 6 on 1d6 becomes 1).
    • When you deal damage from an attack or effect that rolls damage dice, any minimum results on those dice are reversed to the maximum (e.g., a min 1 on 1d6 becomes 6).
  • Modifier Mastery:
    • Add your Dexterity modifier to all your attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.
    • Instinctive Competence: You add half your proficiency bonus (rounded up) to any ability check you make that doesn’t already include your proficiency bonus.

Fortune’s Cascade

Starting at 3rd level you gain the following features:

  • Luck's Shield: You are immune to being surprised, disadvantage, numerical penalties, vulnerabilities, and critical hits; any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit.
  • Infallible Agency: You are immune to conditions if the effect does not allow for an initial saving throw or check.
  • Fate Defiance: You die only after 6 failed death saves. On stabilization or a natural 20, regain HP equal to half your rogue level + Con mod. Required successful saves: 3 (3rd level), 2 (9th level), 1 (13th level).

Domino Fumbles & Boons
Your presence warps probability within 300 feet of you.
Backfire Reaction: Whenever a creature rolls a natural 1 on an attack roll against you, the attack instead hits that creature. It takes the full damage and any effects it would have dealt to you.
Additionally, whenever a creature (not you) rolls a natural 1 on any d20, it suffers a fumble (roll d6). Whenever you roll a natural 20, you gain a boon (roll d6).

d6 Fumble d6 Boon
1 Overextended: The creature's AC is reduced by your Proficiency Bonus until the end of its next turn. (A sudden, inexplicable draft of wind or a momentary slip in concentration exposes a vital weakness.) 1 Vital Surge: Regain 1d8 + Dex mod Hit Points. (A powerful surge of sheer luck reinvigorates you, mending minor wounds instantly.)
2 Stumble: The creature falls prone; speed becomes 0 until the end of the turn. (An unseen marble, a sudden loose floorboard, or a tangle of minor debris causes the creature to lose all footing.) 2 Perfect Rhythm: Make one additional weapon attack as a free action. (The cosmos aligns for a second perfect opportunity, allowing an immediate follow-up attack.)
3 Ricochet: Takes 2d6 bludgeoning damage from an environmental mishap. (A random object falls from above or a piece of shrapnel ricochets with impossible precision.) 3 Momentum Strike: Add proficiency bonus to damage of the triggering roll. (A strike of impossible precision bypasses defenses and hits a critical weakness.)
4 Disoriented: The creature is blinded until the end of its next turn. (A sudden gust of dust, a reflective glare, or the snap of a loose wire temporarily blinds the creature.) 4 Fate's Favor: Your next roll is an automatic success. (For a moment, all uncertainty vanishes, and the outcome you desire is simply fated to be.)
5 Clumsy: Has disadvantage on all rolls until the end of its next turn. (The creature’s gear tangles, a sudden itch distracts them, or their vision subtly blurs as bad luck takes hold.) 5 Probability Collapse: A creature within 120ft must treat its next successful d20 roll as a failure. (The opponent’s destiny wavers; you force their next moment of fortune to collapse in on itself.)
6 Catastrophic Fail: Stunned until end of next turn + 2d6 bludgeoning damage. (The ultimate bad luck: a loose light fixture falls, a small electrical short zaps them, or a stray wire wraps around their leg.) 6 Supreme Sequence: Double Sneak Attack dice + gain Inspiration. (The chaotic nature of fate provides a window of unparalleled opportunity, doubling your strike's potential.)

Domino Reroll
You have a pool of Domino Tokens: 3 at 3rd level, 4 at 9th level, 5 at 13th level, and 6 at 17th level. When you see a creature roll a d20 or when you roll a d20, you can expend 1 token to force a reroll and choose the result. You regain all Domino Tokens on a short or long rest.

Chain of Misfortune

Starting at 9th level you gain the following features:

  • Expanded Chaos: Backfire Reaction triggers on a 6 or below. Domino Fumbles trigger on a creature's 6 or below. Domino Boons trigger on your 6 or below.
  • Misfortune’s Ricochet: When a creature misses you with an attack, and the Backfire Reaction did not trigger, the attack is redirected:
    • Melee: It instead hits an ally of the attacker within 5 feet of you.
    • Ranged: It instead hits an ally of the attacker of your choice that is within the attack's maximum range.

Luck's Momentum

At 13th level, whenever you roll a natural 20, your influence over probability allows you to harvest the energy of collapsing timelines. You regain 1 expended Domino Token (up to your maximum) whenever any of the following occur:

  • You roll a natural 20 or a result of 6 or below on a d20.
  • You see another creature roll a natural 1 or a result of 6 or below on a d20.

Absolute Tipping Point

Starting at 17th level, you gain the following features:

  • Advantage on Attack Rolls: You have advantage on all your attack rolls.
  • Absolute Reversal: Rolls against you ignore all modifiers and are treated as raw d20s.
  • Sneak Attack Mastery: Add Dexterity modifier to Sneak Attack damage. Crits roll triple dice.
  • Inevitable Fall: When using Domino Reroll, you may simply dictate the result is a 1 or a 20. This use does not trigger token regeneration from Luck's Momentum.
  • Catastrophic Coincidence: When you see a creature succeed on a roll, you can expend 1 Domino Token to trigger a devastating, improbable accident. A nearby object (a chandelier, a loose sign, an explosive barrel) falls or detonates; a sudden lightning bolt strikes from a clear sky; or the ground gives way beneath them, ect. The creature takes 6d10 damage (choose type appropriate to the flavor of the accident) and is stunned until the end of its next turn.
