Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Not all barbarians are creatures of unthinking fury. Some are chosen, or choose themselves, to stand where violence must end. These warriors are known as Sentinels: living bulwarks whose presence suppresses chaos rather than feeding it. Where others rage to destroy, a Sentinel rages to hold.

A Sentinel does not meet force with force alone. Their fury manifests as an oppressive calm, a gravity that drags blows short and turns failed attacks into moments of domination. Enemies find their strikes blunted, their footing lost, and their bodies seized by hands that do not let go.

Level 3: Aura Attenuation

When you enter a Rage, you do not gain the normal damage resistances granted by Rage. Instead, you gain the following benefit:

Level 6: Reassert Control

When a creature you can see hits you with a melee attack while you are raging, and that attack’s damage is reduced to 0, you can use your reaction to impose one of the following effects on that creature:

Level 10: Dominant Field

While you are raging:

• A creature you are grappling is also restrained.

• A creature restrained by you has its speed reduced to 0, and it has disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.

• When you move, you may move one creature you are grappling with you without reducing your speed.

Level 14: Absolute Submission

While you are raging, when you have a creature grappled, you may use a bonus action to force it to make a Strength saving throw

(DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier).

• On a failure, the creature is restrained and incapacitated until the start of your next turn.

• On a success, the creature is restrained until the start of your next turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
