Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Theft spend time training in the criminal arts. In fact, their interest in performance often stems from its applications in less-than-savory activities. They focus on fast talking, up-close misdirection, and the use of acrobatics for unconventional traversal. Adherents to other colleges often feel disdain towards these bards, viewing them as disloyal to the craft.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Theft at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with thieves’ tools. You also gain proficiency in Sleight of Hand and one additional skill of your choice. If you are already proficient with thieves’ tools or in Sleight of Hand, choose another skill proficiency for each proficiency you already have.
Roguish Tumble
Also at 3rd level, you master a variety of acrobatic techniques that allow you to evade danger. As a bonus action, you can tumble. When you tumble, you gain the following benefits for the rest of your turn:
- You gain the benefits of taking the Dash and Disengage actions.
- You gain a climbing speed equal to your current speed.
- You take half damage from falling.
Level Head
By 6th level, you’ve learned to keep calm in even the most desperate situations. Whenever you must make a Dexterity, Wisdom, or Charisma saving throw, you do so with advantage.
Thieves' Talent
By 14th level, you have refined your criminal skills until they approach perfection. When you make a Charisma (Persuasion), Charisma (Deception), Dexterity (Stealth), or Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check; and when you use thieves’ tools to disarm a trap or open a lock; you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
