Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some barbarians rage like a wildfire. You rage like a locked vault.
When you enter your Wrath, your face goes still, your breathing slows, and the battlefield feels colder. The anger doesn’t vanish. It gets contained, pressure-cooked into something sharp enough to cut fate.

Level 3: Stillwater Fury

When you enter a rage, you may choose to become Wrathful. While Wrathful:

  • You cannot speak above a whisper (you can still communicate with gestures, short words, or a low mutter).

  • You have advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks and Charisma (Intimidation) checks.

  • Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack using Strength, you can deal extra psychic damage equal to your proficiency bonus as your controlled fury crushes their nerve.

This psychic damage represents the pressure of your presence, not mind magic, and it works even on creatures immune to being frightened.

Quiet Catastrophe:

Once per turn, on a turn you used Reckless Attack, when you hit with a melee weapon attack you deal extra damage equal to your proficiency bonus (same damage type as the weapon).

Level 3: Glaring Presence

Your calm is worse than shouting.

While you are raging and Wrathful, you can use a bonus action to fix your stare on one creature you can see within 30 feet. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier).

On a failure, it is Marked by Dread until the start of your next turn:

  • The first time the marked creature makes an attack roll against a target other than you, it rolls with disadvantage.

  • If the marked creature moves willingly more than 10 feet away from you during its turn, you can use your reaction to move up to half your speed toward it (no opportunity attacks from that creature during this movement).

You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Level 6: Measured Retaliation

You punish mistakes with surgical cruelty.

While Wrathful and raging, when a creature you can see within 5 feet of you hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to make one melee weapon attack against that creature.

If your retaliatory attack hits, choose one:

  • Crush Their Nerve: The target has disadvantage on its next attack roll before the end of its next turn.

  • Break Their Footing: The target’s speed becomes 0 until the start of your next turn.

You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1) per long rest.

Level 10: Silence of the Grave-Tide

When you go quiet, the world listens.

While Wrathful and raging:

  • You are immune to being frightened.

  • You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.

  • You can’t be compelled to speak by magic (such as suggestion or similar effects) unless the effect would force purely physical actions without requiring speech. (You still must obey the spell’s normal rules; this is a narrow protection meant to preserve the “silent wrath” fantasy.)

In addition, once per rage, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can choose to end your turn without provoking opportunity attacks (even if you moved this turn). It’s not speed. It’s inevitability.

Level 14: Wrath Uncrowned

Your rage becomes a pressure front. Everyone feels it. You never raise your voice.

While Wrathful and raging, you emanate an aura of contained violence in a 10-foot radius (you choose whether the aura is active when you start your rage; you can toggle it on/off at the start of your turn).

Enemies of your choice that start their turn in the aura must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failure, choose one effect (your choice) that lasts until the start of that enemy’s next turn:

  • Cowed: The enemy can’t take reactions, and its speed is reduced by 10 feet.

  • Provoked: The enemy has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you.

Once a creature succeeds on this save, it is immune to your aura until the end of your current rage.
