Base Class: Blood Hunter (archived)
You have no right to call me a murderer. You have a right to kill me. You have a right to do that, but you have no right to judge me. It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror has a face, and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies.
—Brother Commander Kurtz
Brothers of the Order of the Dragon are myths, stories of pure monsters on the battlefield. They are used as mercenaries, hunters, and assassins for missions that most adventurers wouldn’t dream of attempting.
How the Order has altered the Hunter’s Bane is debated by most scholars, but the physical changes are undeniably draconic, and rumors abound that they have imbued the hunter’s bane with the blood of powerful ancient dragons. How the hunters have harvested this blood is unknown.
Draconic Bloodline
Starting at 3rd level, once you have chosen this archetype, your draconic bloodline begins to manifest changes in you. You may either choose your draconic bloodline or roll a d12 to have the fates determine your ancestry for you. The damage type associated with each dragon earns the associated Esoteric Rite, and is used by features you gain later.
These esoteric rites will grant you powerful elemental control that will expand outward from you while your crimson rite is active. When your crimson rite causes a creature to make a save, the save DC is:
Rite Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your constitution modifier.

Draconic Physiology
When you choose this Order at 3rd level, the Hunter’s Bane transforms your body, and the blood of the dragon causes your physicality to become more draconic. These changes impart the following features:
Draconic Resistance. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC equals 10+ your Dexterity Modifier + your Constitution Modifier.
Additionally, you have resistance to the damage type associated with your Draconic Bloodline.
Rule Tip: AC Calculations Don’t Stack When the game gives you more than one way to calculate your Armor Class, you can use only one of them. You choose the one to use. For example, if you have the Aberrant Mind’s Warped Being feature and the monk’s Unarmored Defense feature, you don’t mix them together. Instead, choose which one determines your AC.
Draconic Memories. You can speak, read, and write Draconic.
Dragon Claws. Your unarmed strikes are considered a single weapon in regards to your crimson rite feature. You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls of your unarmed strikes. When you use the Attack action with an unarmed strike, you can make another unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 plus half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) slashing damage. This die increases to 1d8 at 11th level, and 1d10 at 18th level.
Monstrous Visage. Your features have become exaggerated and mutated. You gain advantage on charisma checks for intimidation.
You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or long rest. While you are transformed, you gain the following features:
Rending Claws
Upon reaching 7th level, your mastery over your crimson rite greatly increases the power of your unarmed strikes. When you have an active rite, your unarmed strikes are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Your draconic power can be channeled to rend the very flesh from your opponent’s bones. When roll a critical hit with your unarmed strikes and your active rite is that of your draconic bloodline, you can roll one additional crimson rite die when determining the extra damage for the critical hit.
Crimson Rite Barrier
When you reach level 11, you learn how to channel your draconic bloodline’s power into a protective barrier that can bolster your defense.
When you take damage from a creature within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage to the chosen creature by half.
Hemorrhaging Critical
Upon reaching 15th level, your claw attacks wound in the most grievous manner. Whenever you score a critical hit on an attack with your unarmed strikes, the target additionally suffers half of the damage from the attack at the end of its next turn.
Dragonkin
At 18th level, you have mastered your control over your draconic form. You can focus your draconic bloodline’s rite into a powerful breath weapon. You gain the Blood Curse of the Dragonkin Blood Maledict feature. This does not count against your blood curses known.
Blood Curse of the Dragonkin. (Recharge 5-6) You can choose to sacrifice your own vitality to weaponize your Crimson Rite to create a devastating breath weapon.
As an Action, you exhale a destructive breath as described in the Blood Curse of the Dragonkin table below. Each creature that lies within the area must make the appropriate saving throw as described or take 8d8 damage of the type associated with your draconic bloodline on a failure, or half damage on a success.
Amplify. Your breath weapon ignores resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic bloodline.

Posted Nov 20, 2019Hey... is the 3th lvl feature written correctly? The last sentence is "You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or long rest. While you are transformed, you gain the following features:". My concern is, what can you do 2 times? the whole 3th lvl package, or only some stuff from it?
