Base Class: Sorcerer
Infernal Source
Your link to the infernal allows you to learn spells normally associated with the warlock class. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a sorcerer cantrip or a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the warlock spell list or the sorcerer spell list. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a sorcerer spell for you.
Decide what kind of fiend your character derives their power from and take note of the alignment of that fiend. These could be, for example; a Devil (Lawful evil), a Yugoloth (Neutral Evil), or a Demon (Chaotic Evil). The alignment of your fiendish ancestor does not effect your alignment but it will effect your Infernal Magic and Fiendish Form features at later levels.
In addition your infernal heritage can manifest itself in a physical trait. Choose one or more traits from the table below or roll a d6.
| d6 | Quirk |
|---|---|
| 1 | You have a pair of large curved horns |
| 2 | You have red/brown fur |
| 3 | You have large fangs/mandibles |
| 4 | You have spikes sprouting from you body |
| 5 | You have clawed hands & feet |
| 6 | You have a prehensile tail |
Luck of a Fiend
Starting at 1st level, a dark power guards your destiny. If you fail a saving throw or miss with an attack roll, you can roll 2d4 and add it to the total, possibly changing the outcome.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Empowered Damage
The infernal energy coursing through you can empower damaging spells. Whenever you or an ally within 5 feet of you rolls dice to determine the amount of damage a spell does, you can spend 1 sorcery point to reroll any number of those dice once, provided you aren't incapacitated. You can use this feature only once per turn.
Infernal Magic
At 6th level you gain an additional spell based on the alignment of whatever fiend was the source of you power, as shown in the table below. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against your number of sorcerer spells known and can be cast once per day regardless of whether or not you have a spell slot of the appropriate level. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the warlock spell list.
| Affinity | Spell |
|---|---|
| Lawful (Devil) | Infernal Calling |
| Neutral (Yugoloth) | Insect Plague |
| Chaotic (Demon) | Summon Greater Demon |
Chaotic
Your magic comes from a Chaotic Evil fiend such as a Demon. Once per day you may cast Summon Greater Demon as if you were using a fifth level spell slot, regardless of whether or not you have one available.
Lawful
Your magic comes from a Lawful Evil fiend such as a Devil/Archdevil. Once per day you may cast Infernal Calling as if you were using a fifth level spell slot, regardless of whether or not you have any available.
Neutral
Your magic comes from a Neutral Evil fiend such as a Yugoloth. Once per day you may cast Insect Plague as if you were using a fifth level spell slot, regardless of whether or not you have one available.
Fiendish Form
Starting at 14th level, you can use a bonus action to sprout a pair of wings from your back. While the wings are present, you have a flying speed of 30 feet. The wings last until you're incapacitated, you die, or you retract them as a bonus action.
The affinity you chose for your Infernal Magic feature determines the appearance of the wings: bat wings for lawful or chaotic, insect wings for neutral.
Unearthly Recovery
At 18th level, you gain the ability to overcome grievous injuries. As a bonus action when you have fewer than half of your hit points remaining, you can regain a number of hit points equal to half your hit point maximum.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
