Base Class: Wizard
This is a modified version of the school f necromancy from the 2014 player's handbook.
Level 2: Necromancy Savant
Starting at level 2 you are able to add necromancy spells from spellbooks and scrolls to your spellbook at half of the monetary cost and in half the time.
Level 2: Grim Harvest
Starting at level 2 you gain the ability to reap life energy from creatures that you damage with your spells. Once per turn when you damage one or more creatures with a spell level 1 or higher you gain temporary HP equal to your wizard level for each creature you damaged this turn with that single spell. You do not gain this benefit from damaging constructs or undead.
Temporary HP gained by this feature can be added together, but only up to a maximum of 3 times your wizard level (level 2 wizard=6 temporary HP max). The usual rules for temporary HP from other sources still apply and can not be added to the temporary HP from Grim Harvest.
In addition you gain the Manipulate Corpse cantrip, which does not count against your total number of known cantrips.
Level 6: Undead Thralls
At 6th level you add the "Animate Dead" spell to your spellbook if it is not there already, and the ability to cast it as a ritual once per day times half of your proficiency modifier rounded down. Whenever you cast Animate Dead you may target additional corpses or piles of bones equal to half of your proficiency modifier rounded down, creating an additional number of zombies or skeletons as appropriate.
Whenever you create an undead using any necromancy spell it has additional benefits-
* The creature's hit point maximum is increased by your wizard level.
* The creature adds your proficiency bonus to its attack and damage rolls.
* The creature gains one additional weapon and armor proficiency of your choice each.
These features also apply to the "Create Undead" and "Summon Undead" spells when you are able to cast them.
Level 10: Inured to Undeath
At 10th level you gain resistance to necrotic damage and your hit point maximum can not be reduced.
Level 14: Command Greater Undead
Starting at 14th level when you use a spell to create one or more undead creatures you may expend an additional spell slot of 6th level or higher and target the remains of a single non-construct/non-undead creature that has a CR of 5 or less and is Large or smaller. That creature becomes an undead thrall under your control. Its stats remain the same except for its intelligence with becomes 3. If that creature had the ability to cast spells it loses that ability. It also gains immunity to poison damage and the poisoned condition if it didn't already have it. You may only control a number of non-humanoid creatures raised by this ability at a single time equal to half of your proficiency modifier rounded down. At 18th level in addition to or instead of the creature you summoned this way you may expend a spell slot of 9th level and target the remains of a creature that is CR 8 or lower and is Huge or smaller.
