Base Class: Monk
There was once a great Monk that suffered an unbearable loss, and swore an Oath of Vengeance. They sacrificed their name, life, and soul to bring an end to all evil, and when they died there was nothing left of them for death to claim. They became the Spirit of Vengeance, a fetterless ghost drawn to souls that have been crushed by tragedy. It moves their bodies through unfamiliar but deadly katas, pours cold water on their burning hearts, and directs their rage towards worthy foes. Those that drink too deeply of the Spirit's power risk joining it in its undying quest for vengeance... for its own sake.
Warriors of Vengeance are unstoppable living weapons that wield ghostly powers and bring violent retribution, even to the most untouchable of villains.
Level 3: First Sacrifice of Vengeance: Hope
The Spirit of Vengeance grants you its first blessing, and the following benefits.
Vengeance's Mark. You can expend 1 Focus Point to cast the Hunter's Mark spell at first level. Moving the mark after a target's death does not require a Focus Point.
Vexing Strikes. If you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike and deal damage to it, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Level 6: Second Sacrifice of Vengeance: Name
You sacrifice your name, and with it, your place in the world. You can use a Bonus Action to teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the creature bearing your Hunter's Mark. You then have Advantage on the next melee attack you make before the end of the current turn.
Level 11: Third Sacrifice of Vengeance: Life
Vengeance is never satisfied by the ending of just one life. Instead of rolling a Death Save, you may spend 1 Focus Point to automatically stabilize yourself.
Alternatively, you may choose to die any time you are reduced to 0 Hit Points, only to resurrect later. Set a time between one minute and 24 hours. When that much time has lapsed, you return to life with a number of Hit Points equal to 4d10 plus your Wisdom modifier. If you died while Blinded, Deafened, Poisoned, Paralyzed or Stunned, then you revive without those conditions.
Once you use this benefit, you can't do so again until you finish a Long Rest unless you expend 4 Focus Points (no action required) to restore your use of it. Time spent dead does not count as time spent resting.
Level 17: Final Sacrifice of Vengeance: Soul
As a Magic action, you can expend 2 Focus Points to become the Spirit of Vengeance for 1 minute, or until you have the Charmed, Frightened, or Incapacitated condition. While garbed in these wrathful shadows, you gain the following benefits.
Ghost Sight. You gain all the benefits of the See Invisibility spell.
Incorporeal Movement. You can move through other creatures and solid matter as if they were Difficult Terrain. If you end your turn in such a space, you are shunted to the last unoccupied space you were in.
Vengeful Flurry. You can expend 1 Focus Point to use Flurry of Blows and make four Unarmed Strikes with it instead of two, but all of these strikes must target the same creature.
