A monk who treats weapons as extensions of their body, achieving supernatural precisions and control. Unlike most monks, Kensei monks are weapon specialists, able to fight effectively at range or with heavy melee weapons while retaining monk ability and defenses
Path of the Kensei
Choose 1 melee weapon and 1 ranged weapon.
Must not have the heavy or special property
Can be simple or martial weapons
Your kensei weapons count as monk weapons
You can use Dexterity instead of Strength
Kensei's Shot
When shooting with a Kensei ranged weapon until the end of your turn, attacks with the ranged weapon deal a bonus +1d4 damage

Your Kensei weapon attacks count as magical for overcoming resistance and immunity
Deft Strike
When you hit with a kensei weapon you may spend 1 ki point to deal extra damage equal to your Martial Arts die

Bonus action: Spend up to 3 Ki Points to grant a +1 to +3 bonus a attack and damage rolls
Lasts 1 minute (10 turns)
Only works on a nonmagical weapon

Once per turn if you miss an attack roll with a monk weapon you can reroll it and you must use the new result
