Base Class: Ranger
A master of tracking spellcasters and magical threats, blending martial precision with tactical disruption.
Level 3: Spellhunter Mark
When you see a creature that is casting a spell or using a magical effect, you can cast hunters mark on it as a reaction.
Aditionally, you know whether that creature has any Immunities, Resistances, or Vulnerabilities, and if the creature has any, you know what they are.
Level 3: Arcane Absorb
When a marked creature casts a spell, you can use your reaction to force a Concentration save (DC 8 + PB + Wis), on a fail, the spell fizzles, and you absorb the magical energy.
Energy is stored as 1 Arcane Charge per spell level (max stored = PB + your Wisdom modifier), they reset on a long rest.
You can also gain one Arcane charge whenever a non-damage spell is cast on you by your allies.
Level 7: Arcane Arrow
As a bonus action, you can expend stored Arcane Charges to fire a magic-infused arrow,
Damage = 1d6 per arcane charge spent, the damage type is the type of the spell cast on you, if that spell was not a damage spell, the damage type becomes force.
Level 11: Reactive Channel
You can expend 1 Arcane Charge immediately when a marked creature casts a spell within 30 feet, make a ranged weapon attack as a reaction, on a hit, the spell fails automatically, and immediatly deal damage to the target as if it was a arcane arrow with arcane charges spent equal to the level of the spell cancelled.
Level 15: Reactive Reversal
You have mastered your arcane absorb to the point you can reverse the spells effect on the caster:
When a marked creature you can see within 30 feet casts a spell, you can use your reaction to attempt to reverse it:
The creature must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Wisdom modifier)
On a failure: The spell fails and the spell is instead cast on the original caster, as if they were the target, the spell uses its original spell level.
You can use this feature once per long rest, but the charge is not consumed if it was saved.
