Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Heart’s Bond is a sacred, mutual covenant sworn between a Paladin and those they truly love. It is not an oath to a distant deity or a rigid code of laws, but a living connection of shared souls. These Paladins believe that the highest truth in the multiverse is the bond of romantic devotion. Whether the bond is between two souls or many, the power of being "in love" creates a divine sanctuary that shields the beloved from the world’s cruelty.
- Absolute Fidelity: My heart is a closed gate to all but my beloved. I shall remain faithful in thought, word, and deed; betrayal is the ultimate heresy.
- The Inseparable Path: Where my beloved goes, I follow. Neither distance, nor planes, nor time shall sever our thread.
- Sovereignty of the Beloved: Their safety is my priority; their joy is my purpose. I am the shield against all that would diminish them.
- Shared Destiny: We are parts of a greater whole. What affects one affects us all; we rise and fall together.
Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of the Heart’s Bond feature
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Soul’s Sanctuary. As a bonus action, for 1 minute, you and allies within 30 feet gain temporary hit points each turn (twice your Paladin level + Charisma modifier) and cannot be moved against their will and are immune to disadvantage on any d20 roll while they have those temporary hit points.
Empathic Retribution. As a bonus action, for 1 minute, deal +1d8 psychic damage to a creature that harmed an ally within 60 ft of you. If that creature damages any Ward, it also takes psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier.

The Heart’s Covenant
3rd-level Oath of the Heart’s Bond feature
The divine power of your oath recognizes the love already present in your soul.
- Legacy of the Heart: Upon gaining this feature, any creatures you are already truly in love with—and who are truly in love with you—automatically become your Chosen Ward.
- The Ritual of New Bonds: To seal the bond with a new love found after gaining this feature, you can perform a 1-hour ritual of devotion via touch. Both you and the creature must be truly in love with one another for the ritual to succeed.
These effects are extraordinary and bypass all barriers (anti-magic, planar, or divination blocks).
- Omnipresent Awareness: You and your Wards always know each other’s exact location, plane, current hit points, conditions, and emotional state.
- Soul-Sight: You and your Wards can cast the Scrying spell at will, targeting only another member (no components required, target voluntarily fails).
- Consanguineous Telepathy: You and your Wards share a telepathic link across any distance or plane.
- Reciprocal Resonances: When a member casts a "Self" or "Touch" beneficial spell, they can have it affect any other member as well, regardless of distance. You and your Wards don't require material components or concentration when casting spells on each other.
- Dreamer’s Tryst: You and your Wards can cast the Dream at will (no components required) to bring all willing, sleeping members of the bond into a single, collective dreamscape. This does not interfere with the benefits of rest and you and them can cast it as you or when they sleep.
- Hallowed Harmony: Members are immune to any damage or negative effects originating from another member of the bond.
Token of Devotion
3rd-level Oath of the Heart’s Bond feature
You can use a symbol of your commitment (e.g., a wedding ring or locket) as your holy symbol. While your romantic bond persists you cannot be unwillingly disarmed of this token. While your romantic bond persists, you know the exact distance and direction to the token’s counterpart, even across planes.
Empowered Union
7th-level Oath of the Heart’s Bond feature
While within 30 feet of a Ward, you and all Wards in range have advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saves, and resistance to all damage.
Aura of the Bound Heart
7th-level Oath of the Heart’s Bond feature
Your Aura of Protection and Aura of Courage affect your Wards regardless of distance or plane. Additionally, allies within your aura gain a +2 bonus to their armor class, attack rolls, ability checks, and saves, and are immune to being Charmed, Frightened, or having their mind altered.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Timeless Devotion
- Ageless Love: You and your Wards cease to age, cannot be aged magically, and cannot die of old age.
- Instant Reunion: As a bonus action, you can teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of any Chosen Ward (or they to you), regardless of distance, plane, or barriers.
- Vitality Exchange: If any member is reduced to 0 HP, any other member can use their reaction to drop to 1 HP and restore the fallen partner to half their maximum HP.
Avatar of the Eternal Flame
20th-level Oath of the Heart’s Bond feature
Once per short rest as a bonus action, you manifest your collective love as a force of nature.
- Eternal Aegis: Yours and your Chosen ward's ability scores and maximum hit points cannot be reduced by any means. When you or a Chosen Ward makes a d20 roll (for an attack, check, or saving throw), you or they can weave your shared fates, allowing that member to reroll the die; they can choose which of the two rolls to use. Additionally if a member succeeds on a saving throw against an effect that normally deals half damage on a success, they take no damage instead.
- Boundless Reprisal: Any creature dealing damage to a you or a Chosen Ward takes equal psychic damage. Melee attackers take extra psychic damage (Paladin level + Charisma modifier). First damage instance by an enemy blinds them until the end of your next turn.
